I love these jars with the locking lids! They have an excellent seal on them so I know that my items stay fresh. These Mainsays jars are nice to look at also. The clasp to seal it is tight so you have to get used to it, but it needs to be tight so that the seal is intact. I’ve bought two different sizes in these and a total of four jars. I would highly recommend these to anyone thinking about getting them. Also, the price is excellent for what you get!

This jar is adorable! I purchased it to keep a small sourdough starter but it’s so adorable I will absolutely be purchasing it for more uses! It’s the perfect size for slightly larger volumes of spices (but not the obnoxious amount) the locking mechanism works well so far. The seal is excellent. It’s aesthetically pleasing and fits in with a variety of decor styles. It would be a good size for cat treats, unless you have Garfield as a cat, then it’s too small. It would be great for a car stash of puppy training kibble. This jar would be adorable as a Christmas present with bath salt in it. It’s a great size to hold loose leaf tea, small amounts of fresh hand ground coffee for camping trips.

Perfect size for SMALL size food leftovers. Seals closed BETTER than plastic equivalents; can't pick up taste %26 odors from other food. Ideal for use in the kitchen.

Purchased all of the sizes for storage of different quantities of dry goods. These work well and the silicone seal and locking mechanism keep the ambient air out.

Exactly what I had expected. But, more costly than my previous purchase. Also, the other items in my order were supposed to have colored gaskets and they were clear.

This is a lovely jar. I love the super clear glass, and it seals to keep dust out. I got it to keep kids' flossers on the bathroom counter. However, we leave it unfastened since it's too hard for little ones to open.

Does what its supposed to do--makes a tight, secure seal. My 4-star rating is because I don't like the sound or feel of the metal clasp against glass. It's a harsh sound and feel, especially when closing the container. Pressure is required to hold down the top while closing the metal clasp. This might be uncomfortable for a person with arthritis.

This is a very nice quality jar w the lid attached. It is made of thick glass and the closure has a gasket to form a good seal. The only problem w this jar is the packing. They dumped the jars in a box, no cushioning at all (see photo). I received broken jars and glass shards all over the box because of the bad packing job. Now, I have to re-pack the broken glass jars and bring the package to Fedex because of the terrible packing. I am posting photos of the package contents, and the shattered glass jars.

This jar has three problems. First, the gasket is way too loose, so it actually flops forward when you open the jar. Walmart sells similar, larger jars that don't have this problem. Second, for some reason, they are way too hard to choose. Again, Walmart sells similar, larger jars that don't have this problem either. Maybe they are from a different manufacturer? Third, the price is exactly the same as the 9.4 oz jars with the colored gaskets. Those jars are perfect. These jars need to be less expensive if they're not as good! Unfortunately, the colored-gasket, five-star jars are often out of stock, so you may need to buy these if you can't wait for the others to come back. 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗. I'm returning mine.
