I use this as part of my "lunch". I work as a retail merchandiser so I travel around town merchandising in various stores. I can eat this while I'm working and it doesn't have to be refrigerated, a big plus. Also, it has no sugar or preservatives, yet still tastes great! A perfect on-the-go protein source!

So let's get this out of the way first. This version of their venison stick is not 100% venison, the mixture is 80%/20%, Venison/Beef mix respectively. It's very tasty and doesn't have a gamey flavor at all. But you can taste the venison and I find it stronger on the finish when you eat it. So Chomps in general isn't as greasy as the other big brands that have meat sticks and Chomps also avoids typical allergens associated, which are great when giving it to kids on trails and camping. Perhaps more expensive, but venison is worth it, leaner and healthier than chicken, beef, or lamb. Will be buying again 👍

I usually get my dog beef jerky. I always have a little taste to make sure. Lol I did not know that venison was actually deer. I thought it was a fancy kind of beef. It does taste a little different than beef jerky. Not to much in my opinion. But my dog really liked it more than regular beef jerky. She was in my face and also she looked worried when I took a bite. It has a slightly milder taste than beef.

Love all of these meat, sticks and chicken sticks. I had bariatric surgery and I tried to eat high protein and sometimes I just can't eat a meal and i eat half a stick of one of these and I get high protein and very few total carbs and I love it. They hold me over till I'm ready to eat a meal.

Such a healthy go to or on the go snack.

While I do love that it's a healthier alternative, it's not the best jerky I've ever had. The texture is almost like hamburger meat crumbly. And it leaves a greasy coating in your mouth. The flavor lacks any sort of unity. It's kinda just all over the place.

Might be personal preference but I hated the taste of this. It tasted like dog food.

This product is great with Tostitos are perfect mild but very good with anything as well as tacos you have many options with this product. I love it.😻

Unless you have a taste for salted cardboard, give this a HARD PASS
