My husband is the king of umbrellas he's always buying some for the pool backyard and kid area since the sun hits our backyard all the time. We had a smaller umbrella which I thought was great but then I received this 11ft one and let me tell you it was the best umbrella we have had since now we can cover the slides so it doesn't get to hot for the kids. I love that it's easy to assemble as well

The middle pole is metal and it has a turning handle to open the umbrella. You can also angle the umbrella which every way you need to. Assembly is very simple and easy. I think you really only need to screw on the top piece of the umbrella and add in the extension pole.

This would be perfect by a pool but we opted for our patio table for now since the tilt function on it is perfect for shading us during outdoor meals. The fabric feels quality and I feel confident it will hold up through the seasons. The tilt function is easy (way easier than I imagined) to deploy and winding it up and down required no extra strength. This umbrella is worth the investment and I look forward to trying other options from this brand in the future.

I love the fabric of the umbrella itself and how durable it is. 1 star off is only because I wish the height of the umbrella could be changed; it's set at 7.5 and there's no way to make it lower. I like how this umbrella can change its angle, which is great!
