This fridge was a big investment for me, and it lasted just over 2 years of relatively light use (it's never overfilled). I thought Frigidaire was a reliable brand. My previous fridge was over 10 years old when it died! This one just quit cooling overnight. The light is on, but nothing else works. The temperature setting lights all blink, which I believe indicates a faulty control system. I think the manufacturer seriously cut some corners when choosing components for this fridge. Sounds like most people who bought this unit around the same time have been disappointed. It's sad because I really loved the size and design and shopped around for months before buying.
I am a power engineer and have been working on these medium size fridges for 15 years everything but compressor replacement. These electronic units all the time - lights go out on the board or they all light up and compressor will not run. We have well over 300 fridges at our staff housing complex. I / we spend so much time pulling the fridges out to repair them is beyond crazy - every week not to mention the loss of food that we have to replace for the resident. There is no manual defrost timer you can manually switch on to check. Usually just outside the warranty many times just under- -so much hassle to return. We have a large bin of control boards...also evap. fan motors - can't get any help...these are absolute JUNK...
My parents bought this fridge 2.5 years ago for me while I was in University. It just stopped working , not cooling anything in Christmas too of all days. Tried resetting it by plugging it back in. Compressor not working, fan goes on and off and temperature meter lights blink on and off. Super disappointing for price paid and length of use. I will never buy frigidaire products again. What happened to quality fridges? Like the ones that last 10+ years. They definitely cut corners with this model. It is clear after reading the reviews this is a factory issue and not a user issue.
Nice design and price, but don't be tempted to buy it. It started to shut down one year after purchase. Light not functioning, door without suction + opening overnight, eventually, It completely died. It didn't even last 2 years! Even if parts were available (which were not), with cost of parts and labour, you are better off getting a new fridge.
We have around 20 of these in our building and more than 10 already failed. They replaced the boards under warranty and they keep failing.
Bought this October 2016, not even a year and a half later it died. Does not cool. I thought the brand name stood for quality, the performance of this refrigerator was spotty at best and I will be moving on to LG or Samsung.
I have put approximately ten of these in my apartment building and 8 of them have failed within the first eighteen months....they are an absolute joke...
I bought this Frigidaire about 20 months ago. It died a few weeks back. I phoned the retailer and they just put me on hold and then laughed at me. It appears to be an electronic problem. I won't buy another Frigidaire.
This refrigerator is a lemon! I bought one and two months later the fridge stopped cooling even though the freezer worked. So I went through the hassle of sending it back and having them send me another one just like it, and what do you know? Two months later the refrigerator is not working again.
Do not buy this fridge. After 2 years...control panel died and then fridge. Should not be on the market from all I have read.
