Loved the adobo

Lizs13 February 4, 2023

I recently received a sample of Embasa chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and I super happy I did. I made some yummie tostadas de Tinga and still have some left over peppers in adobo sauce. I really like the fact it's not super salty as other brands seem to just sell you salt.

So versatile

Yesi February 7, 2023

Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce have such a great smoky flavor. Can be very spicy so be careful with how much you use. I use it in many of my recipes. My favorite is to add garlic, chicken broth and chicken bullion and buen to make a sauce pour in to a pan with sautéed shrimp, zucchini and asparagus. These peppers are so versatile.

Pretty good

Kiki February 24, 2023

I used the Embasa chipotle peppers with the Dona Maria nopalitos. I'm not a fan of nopales but using the two together was great! My aunt loves nopales so I made this for us. Made some tacos with corn tortillas. Not too bad. I used a recipe I found online.

I'm a huge fan of both Italian and Mexican cuisines, and try to find authentic flavors. often the way an entire dish tastes can be completely influenced with the addition of relatively little. I'd recently been exposed to the smell, but not the taste. of Chipotle in adobo and I thought it smelled absolutely fabulous, I couldn't wait to add some to my taco soup. typically the addition of a single teaspoon of a given taste profile is enough so as to make it noticeable, rather than chopping up one of the chiles I measured out a teaspoon of the sauce from the can, and was looking forward to the now enhanced flavor. imagine my surprise no, let's say my shock! when I took a bite of my taco soup, that now qualified as having a stunning level of heat; now the delightful aroma of my taco soup had heat levels that caused my eyes to sting and burn terribly. my suggestion? if you can handle major spice levels then by all means, add in a teaspoon full of sauce from the can. or even more of your palate is very sophisticated! mine certainly isn't. and I'm never going to test spice by adding in the whole amount immediately. if - and that's a very large if! - I used it again, zxhkbolunteer

major price increase

Amanda August 16, 2022

I bought this exact can back in March for 1.38 (I checked my receipt) and this exact can is now 11.99, talk about inflation. I've notice the sudden price jump in a couple other items also. The product itself is good but I will no longer buy this from here, I'd rather go to Kroger. Ridiculous

3 peppers in the whole can

Jessica April 1, 2026

This 7 oz can only had 3 peppers in it. I've bought this before and it's never happened. I did double check that I didn't accidentally buy adobo sauce. the can does say chipotle peppers In adobo sauce.
