This sauce tastes really good. It does not taste very salty or spicy but has a good flavor. It is not chunky but the texture is smooth and creamy. It comes in a jar so I bought a small one because I never made it before. I only had it in restaurants. I had to read how much to use. For two servings of pasta, I put in half a cup of this sauce. It was enough for me. Prep: After I cooked the pasta, I poured out the water. Then I poured the sauce over the pasta in the same pan and cooked it for a few more minutes. I used the thermometer and it was over 165, so it was done. I liked this alfredo sauce but I also might try the one with cheese in it.
I ended up trying both this and Bertolli. I was irritated that I spent extra money on a name brand because both jars taste the same and cook up the same. I never eat the sauces straight up. I always add my personal no salt seasonings, parmesean cheese, then a bit of pasta water.
I've used different brands of Alfredo sauce including different flavors infused with it. I found this taste just like the rest. That isn't a bad thing, that's a good thing. I found it to be creamy and delicious. For the value of it, I've actually switched to this brand. I'm very pleased with how it turns out my pasta meals. You don't need to drown your noodles ether, even just enough to give it a nice layer is enough to taste it.
This sauce is incredible, really! If you like Alfredo, you will like this. I use it on my pasta and put the rest in the fridge. It's also good as a veggie dip or a pizza sauce...If you make your own.
The consistency is quite thick like you want it and it tastes great it has the most wonderful flavor for the price I didn't expect it to taste that good
We love alfredo sauce and have always bought Ragu. After trying the ever popular, budger minded walmart brand, I am hooked and will never again waste the money on the expensive brands .
i use this sauce for many different dishes. its handy to ha e around when I wanna throw a quick dish together add some pasta a jar of this some chicken breast or left over pork or steak add some shredded cheese a little cream cheese sour cream green onions bell peppers sometimes I use the sauce add shrimp and chicken and Parmesan cheese meal in one pot. and takes no time at all. only issue I had this orderis that one jar got broke and she took a pic and was gonna go back to store it was raining and I said it's fine that they could just credit my acct or refund it I'll get another one next order. so was wondering where that is and I know I out oaoertowels on here. and still haven't got those or so many items. it available this time so hopefully y'all restock soon. Happy Easter everyone stay safe.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Great Value Alfredo Pasta Sauce! The texture is thick and creamy, and it coats pasta really well without being watery. The flavor is rich and garlicky with a nice cheesy taste, especially for the price. It's a great budget-friendly alternative to more expensive name brands. I used it with fettuccine and added grilled chicken and steamed broccoli, and it turned out delicious. It also heats up smoothly without separating, which isn't always the case with jarred Alfredo sauces. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the flavor was just a little bolder and cheesier on its own—but that's easily fixed with a sprinkle of Parmesan and some black pepper. Overall, excellent value for the money and definitely something I'll keep in my pantry for quick weeknight dinners!
I thought I would save a little time by getting a jar of alfredo sauce instead of making it homemade. I probably spent more time trying to doctor it up to make it taste a little better. It was okay-ish, but definitely didn't satisfy my alfredo craving. I've learned my lesson, and next time I will make homemade sauce. Homemade really isn't that hard and is totally worth it compared to this jar of goo.
I had to add so much cheese and so much this and so much that to make it even have flavor and it still tasted like crap. I used to use that and it was a good product not anymore
