This is my go to meal at home! It tastes just like it did when I was a kid! Honestly it is perfect for a quick meal. Everyone loves it! We do it as a main course and as a side!! If you really want a blast from the past cut up some hot dogs and put them in there! 90’s gourmet dinner from when your mom wasn’t home to cook dinner and dad let you pick whatever!

As a former Kraft devotee, Great value Mac n cheese has won me over. I think that Kraft has made recipe changes over the years (probably trying to improve the nutritional properties, like less sodium), but I want the good ole salty boxed Mac n cheese, and this fits the bill. I am a budget conscious meal planner, and I often feel like serving sizes on packaged meals are a complete joke, but this makes decent portions which makes it a steal for the $$. Family favorite recipe: Brown 6-8 ounces of beef (or gardein/boca crumbles for vegetarians). Add a couple of big squirts of ketchup and mustard and a heaping spoonful of Vlasic dill relish to the beef and mix together. Then add a box of Great Value Mac ‘n Cheese (we like the shells and cheese with it as well) prepared as directed to the burger mix, stir all together for a yummy and filling dinner that fills 2 large teenage boys or a family of 3-4 that aren’t giant bottomless pits filled with angst and hormones.

I love mac and cheese but had never attempted to made it myself. Saw this GV brand on sale for a unbelievable low price, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so very glad I did. Super easy to make. Mistrake proof and fabulous taste, all I added was some cayenne pepper and used half and half instead of 2% milk. Will definitely be buying again and again!

Great Value Macaroni %26 Cheese is a pantry staple in my home. It's quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for busy weeknights or a simple side dish. The pasta cooks up tender, and the cheese sauce is creamy, smooth, and full of flavor. My family really enjoys it, and it's easy to customize by adding cooked bacon, shredded cheese, or a little seasoning for an extra kick.

So easy to make. When I'm rushed, I put the cooking temperature on low, taker a timer with me set at twenty minutes, take a shower, come back and my macaroni is usually cooked to perfection. I give it a quick stir, put the lid back on, let it sit for a few minutes and then it's ready to drain.

Not really the biggest fan of the noodle they use. But the flavor is great. And since I always add tuna to mine, i'm not really competing against kraft mac and cheese flavor. That being said it is not craft Mac and cheese. If that's what you're used to I don't think you can substitute it unless you're like me. And you add to it anyway. In that case, this is so much cheaper. It's worth having on hand try it yourself.

Husband made me buy a name brand with a squishy packet of cheese he thought would be better. Nope, not. A few tips here. Before my cheddar goes bad, I shred what's left and freeze it in a plastic freezer bowl. When I make macaroni and cheese I always add a bit of this frozen cheddar cheese. Tip number two for newbies, you do NOT have to measure the water. I usually use two boxes for a dinner for two. I use a two quart sauce pan and fill it up 3/4s with water. No measuring. Do not overcook the pasta, Sometimes I add cut up hotdogs or Cheddar dogs or Kielbasa sausage links cut into small slices, for a whole meal add cooked frozen peas.

I was going thru hard times so I switched from kraft to great value, I got a boost so I got kraft thinking it was better. Boy was I ever wrong the great value was much better and the price difference is so good, I thought it looked like the great value did not make as much but it turned out to be false they both make the same amount and I liked the taste better of the great value I made them both and compared them. Great value for the win. To feed a family you need two boxes it is the same for both.

now my mac and cheese have two different kinds of noodles a smaller typical noodle it's a tube and these larger noodles they cook at different rates so the larger noodles are thinner and turn out like flat tubes and the original good noodles are al dentine and cooked up right I'm cooking it at the low time of 7 minutes. in the past I've always cooked it this long and it's required to get the normal noodle the smaller ones to be cooked Al dente. while the bigger thinner noodles get overcooked so it's just a terrible bowl of mac and cheese now just avoid it until they fix themselves. as other people have said it's got very little cheese taste now
