[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I thought how good can powdered milk be? Turns out it pretty much tastes the same as traditional whole milk. Not only does it taste good, but you can still get breakfast even if you have run out of milk. Super convenient!

Or even kids who are making breakfast solo in the morning or any time of day. The milk tasted just like real milk and the serving size was good as well

These little single serve bowls could go in a back pack or lunch box with a bottle of water and save the day for a hungry child or adult. I like the ease of use and they honestly taste like the regular apple jacks.

This Kellogg's Apple Jack insta bowl intrigued me. It was an impulse purchase to try it with the idea of maybe adding some to my food storage. I followed the directions, adding cold water to the fill line (1/2 cup). I was pleasantly surprised at the taste for the most part. When stirred together the milk powder mixed completely. The milk was a bit thick - maybe similar to a 2% milk - but not a bad flavor. The cereal seemed a bit less flavorful, likely the milk taste and texture overpowered it just a bit since I am used to 1%. I was actually filled up with just this bowl (drinking the milk afterward as well, which was not bad), even though it is a bit smaller portion of cereal than I am used to. Overall, I think this is a neat idea and would likely buy more for food storage if it was not so expensive. (Over a dollar just for one). I also did not see an expiration date anywhere, but think it would last quite awhile sealed as is and would make a good food storage option.

My wife, on the other hand, wanted now parts of it after the first taste. She said it tasted pasty. I will keep a few on hand for myself. And they are great forvtraveling.

I had powdered milk as a kid but it did not taste like this. It's horrible. It smells and tastes like some kind of chemical. It's really bad.
