My daughter made pepperoni rolls using these Jalapenos, and wow! They are hardly spicy at all, but boy do they pack a punch in flavor. Best pepperoni rolls I have ever eaten! :) If you are looking for something spicy hot. you wont get it from these peppers, but they sure do make up for it in the flavor they add to your food.
We keep these in stock as we love to use them on sandwiches, salads, nachos, tamales, chili, etc. They have great flavor but aren't overly spicy. Will repurchase. My only complaint would be that I can't always find this size in store but am able to purchase online and they arrive quickly.
I love jalapenos….add them to many salads and savory dishes for an extra kick of flavor… especially loved these jalapenos to top my Tacos and Tuna Salad sandwiches. Tried this brand and found that I liked them best. I always have 2-3 jars in my cabinet at any moment … don't want to run out
Great flavor, excellent consistency, and mix well with mild queso dip and tortilla chips after dicing a little. Occasionally, I'll drop a slice or four on a chip with dip.
Mt. Olive Jalapeno 64 ounce jar, always buy the smaller size jars of any brand or Mt. Olive. This large 64 oz jar, the jalapenos are too firm and crunchy like a dill pickle. Too firm and crunchy for my liking especially on nachos or refried beans, never had this issue before, however, I never had a large 64 oz size. The flavor and heat is great, the firmness and crunch is ruins it for me, and I can eat anything, not 64 ounces of crunchy jalapenos. Were the jalapenos picked too early not ripe enough, or were these undercooked?
I love the flavor and the amount of "hot" these jalapeno slices have! I eat them on tortilla chips with nothing else and cold. I enjoy them so much that I go through a jar of them in less than 4 days. Because I go through them so quickly, the price is economical for me. I am even able to take small sips of the excessive brine. I give it only 4 stars because of that along with the fact that there are all too often too many pieces that are the tops of the peppers and I have to throw them away or trim off the "bad" and use the "good" of each individual top piece that has the top of the pepper in it. That is a loss in economic value as my time is worth something.
this is how the item was delivered
I have bought Mt. Olive jalapeno slices, 64 oz, for several years now and have always been very happy with this product...... untill now. My confidence in any manufacturer of any product I buy has once again been shaken to the core. Why is that you may ask. The answer, being deceived and therefore being ripped off is the answer. This 64 oz jar of jalapeno pepper slices is really only 30 oz of peppers and 34 oz of liquid. That didn't used to be this way. Now HALF the jar is vinegar. Once again, I will never buy Mt. Olive jalapeno slices or any other of their products ever again. I am tired of being deceived and rather do without.
when I first started purchasing this it was a really good deal and then all the sudden they went to put in bigger peppers they're so mushy and not a good deal as they were a few months ago because my last three or four jugs have been really crappy so whoever is doing this you need to stop with people off
Ordered 8 jars, received 4, the other 4 were damaged in shipping due to poor packaging by Walmart. I did receive have the cost back but would of preferred a replacement.
