(12 pack) RAGU Homemade Style Pizza Sauce, 14 oz

My grandmother made homemade tomato sauce with meatballs, sausage and pork every Sunday for a large Italian family. It was a lot of work and cooked for hours. I found I can get the same result without starting from scratch and by just adding meat to 3 or 4 jars of Ragu and letting it cook a few hours. Delicious and a real timesaver for busy families that want to keep Sunday traditions alive.

I been using this brand for 25 years, It has that take-out pizza taste in my opinion. I add olive oil and fresh garlic then put this sauce over that and it is perfect, but it is awesome without it. The olive oil and garlic just make is really Italian lol

I switched to Ragu for the taste. I make my own pizza's and the sauce is the base. It HAS to be good! If you buy a ready made pizza, there is hardly any sauce at all on them. So I fixed that problem by making my own and buying my pizza sauce. It makes all the difference for a yummy tasting pixxa!!

I have a family of extremely picky eaters. This sauce covers all restrictions- no chunks, not overly garlicky, not too thin nor too thick. Its a pleasantly neutral sauce that everyone enjoys.

We love it. We made an awesome Brussels sprout pizza with it. Brussel Sprout Pizza Start with readymade thin crust (optional but is easier) 1/4 cup pizza sauce Sautéed 1 large onion (with splash of olive oil) & 2 Tablespoon Real Bacon bits until carmelized Then add 6 to 8 large Brussel sprouts (chopped to look shredded) Stir fry in onion mix until leaves become dark green (salt and pepper to taste) Stir in 1/8 cup parmesan cheese Top crust with sauce, veggie mixture, sprinkle another 1 Tablespoon bacon bits on top and top with ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes

This is so easy to use and turn anything into a pizza, well this and of course cheese too. We have used it on homemade pizzas using store crust or English muffins, and since my son is now eating a Keto diet have used it on zucchini and egg plant. It really is very good and easy to use. Yes I did add a few additional spices.

It's not the crust, it's not the cheese, and it's not the sauce, but the perfect combination for speed, convenience, and taste. Mostly it's the pre-made crust (speed, convenience) that ruins the whole thing. Like Diogenes, I'll keep searching.

First off, let's just say I CANNOT stand Ragu spaghetti sauce. But, they make a mean pizza sauce! It is tasty when making regular white bread pizzas, french bread pizzas, and your own dough pizzas. I actually the Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce much better than the Homestyle, it has more kick than this, but this will do if the other one is not available. I have tried all the jarred and canned varieties available in town at the different stores, and this is definitely the best brand. No need to make homemade. But try to get the other Ragu variety if you want more kick.

The taste is great, but you will want to use the whole jar quickly. I don't know if I get a full 2 weeks in the refrigerator before it goes bad. I only have one child so it would last that long in my house. Its worth having it on hand, though, for an easy lunch she can throw together herself.

The price for such a small bottle is just steeling for us. other jars different brands 24 oz for less than this . because It is ragu you have the right to steal from us
