Rice a Roni like Hamburger Helper has come a very long way, it tastes good. It's a good side dish. I use it in casseroles too. Rinse off a can of ham, add that and more broccoli chopped up and a few dots of butter top with cheese. 350 in the oven until warm through and cheese is melted. Serve with dinner rolls maybe a nice little fruit salad that you can get in produce, or a bag of frozen fruit mix just thaw it out and add whipped topping. Or use that as dessert and have a nice green salad also in produce, Marketplace has a good mixed greens bag. Just saying.

You can't go wrong with the is simple rice meal. Goes perfect with a meal. I think when preparing it you should use less water. Like say if I'm using 2 boxes I think the box says 4 cups or a little more. When Im preparing 2 boxes I use 3 cups of water instead of 4 cups. And if it's one box I use 1 and half cups of water. If you like it watery then follow the directions to the letter. It's not watery if you follow the directions. I like my rice like Chinese rice. It's most but no liquid in it.

I find all these Knorr pouch meals to be good, considering what they are. I have tried them all. You will usually have things to add to the pot to fill this out into a more home made taste of a meal. For this one, add some canned or leftover chicken. This particular purchase goes to the local food pantry because of the poor decision to stop SNAP. GV price is the lowest.

I use to buy the individual microwave cups , then I found this box. It makes way more than the little cups for a lot cheaper price.

I add more broccoli bigger pieces to it from the frozen broccoli great value bag . My grandkids love this when I make it.

I actually like this flavor — the cheddar broccoli combo is doing its thing. That said, the rice and sauce don't always agree on what texture they're going for, and it can feel a little… undecided. Still tasty, still comforting, just not the smoothest relationship. I'd eat it again, but I wouldn't cancel plans for it.
