These give off a very bright light....the batteries are the little tiny 1.5 volt ones. Each "candle" requires three of these "pill" batteries. They last a decent time, and it depends on how long you leave them on.

I love these candles. They look good and they do not burn so no fires.

These are really pretty at Christmas and New Year's if you place them in small glass candy dishes and set the dishes out on an end table or such; just small/tiny little dishes is all you need to enhance the beauty of the item. They are bright enough to be festive.

Just got these. We're enjoying turning on several and distributing them around the room in the evening. The little switch on the bottom of each one works well to turn it on and off. I don't know how they'll hold up or whether the little battery inside each one will last long, but we're having enough fun with them right now to make them worthwhile even if not. A great choice for us.

These were much dimmer than I expected. I used them outdoors and was disappointed compared to others I have purchased in the past. If you are using them for close up they will be fine.

These were well illuminated when they arrived but two days later they are dead. I've had similar that have lasted the entire Halloween season for years without a battery change.
