For months, I keep hearing a beeping sound. My oldest son stood in the cellar way landing, my daughter -in-law stood in the basemen laundry room. It wasn't the smoke alarm, not the CO detector. not the alarm back up, what the heck was it. The beeping cycle was about 15 minutes apart. My daughter-in -law was standing under the Telephone back-up power box. Never knew what that box was in the basement rafters, until now!
Purchased item for a custom backup of AT&T Fiber 1000 network devices. Network device draw is less than an amp, providing ~7hours of backup in the event of power failure.
This battery was the correct replacement for my FIOS backup power supply. It has been fine for the week since installation.
Item is a great value for the price. I was skeptical at first of making this purchase but after seeing it and measuring the voltage, it should work well. If anything, it's a lot cheaper than the manufacturer's stock battery. It would be nice to get several years out of this replacement but time will tell. Addendum: I installed the Mighty Max battery after my FiOS battery backup once again sounded its alarm. It was an easy drop-in replacement that took about 5 minutes from start to finish. Everything is working fine since then.
I ordered this Mighty Max battery as a backup power source for my Verizon Fios system. Wasted a day trying to track it down in the big box stores, so I ordered direct from . The battery was delivered in two days, was easy to install and I had no issues. I can’t comment on battery life or durability, as I have the battery only one week. The last battery I had lasted 12 years, though.
I purchased the Mighty Max 12V 7.3AH battery as a replacement for the backup battery in my 5 year old Verizon FIOS equipment installed in my garage. The phone line is also included thru the fiber optic cable, and the battery backup assures continued use of the phone in the case of a power outage. The old battery had died, and the equipment in the garage was giving me a periodic and annoying warning beep. The battery arrived well packaged. The replacement process was extremely simple. Just pop open the cover on the equipment, remove the old battery, which has a red and black power connector that needs to be pulled off. Remove the protective covers on the the power tabs of the new battery, push in the black and red connectors that were just removed from the old battery, and push the battery in place in the equipment. Done! No more annoying beeps, and the battery status light went from red to green.I have now had this battery in place for a month, and no problems whatsoever! This was a perfect replacement, and much less expensive that getting the same thing from Verizon. The installation is so simple, I cannot imagine paying someone else to do it.
Update – Nov 22nd, Flawless service for the last 90-days. Update- Aug 21st: A. This backup battery works flawlessly after about 15 hrs. of installation. B. Question 1 : What function does this consumable backup battery serve in this 4 to 5 years old Verizon FiOS Box (which has a plug in power cord.)? Q2 : Does Verizon has a ‘newer BOX – for the same purpose' which does not require this backup battery in the schematic? Just curious. THANKS. 1. Swift US Postal delivery!!! Arrived in my mail box on May 19 (Wed). Four days after my order was placed on May 15 (Sat) night after 11 pm. 2. Packaging was wrapped securely with heavy duty paper in a cardboard box, not in a fancy custom box. 3. Visually, material quality, fit and finish seem to be above average. Identical size and design of the ‘old unit'. 4. A direct swap out of the ‘old unit'. The terminal connectors stay in place on the ‘new unit' without involving any adapters. 5. Most importantly, the ‘red low battery warning light went off' after replacing out the old unit. 6. 4 Stars now.* Will upgrade to 5 stars in 9 months (around May 20, 2016) with proven reliability. Before May 20, 16 — no news is good news. 7. Thanks to all fellow reviewers on your detail reviews/info. It took 5 minutes to complete this replacement — just a flat blade screw driver to pop loose the old battery from the plastic grips/fingers. Slide the old unit out, the end with terminals first, disconnect the (+ red ) terminal, then the (-) terminal. Reconnect the (-) then (+ red ) terminals on to the new battery respective tabs. Position the new unit properly. 1st impression after successful installation, I recommend it for the price with free shipping. * I'll share on subpar reliability & performance.
This was less than half the cost of Verizon's replacement, was easy to install, and it worked - alarms gone. The installation is the same as for Verizon's replacement, and you can find good help on youtube and even verizon.com. Of course time will tell how long it will last.
Battery lasted 8 mos before it started chirping to replace it. Verizon battery lasted years.
Bought this battery 6 days ago, now it does not work !! Now the headache of dealing with seller for a refund because I don't need another crap battery like this one!!
