Great product and safer than that heat lamp
Its what you ordering at 1st i thought it didn't work but it does it doesn't heat up the area to like hot on the ground under it thats not how it works the plate itself heats up to the degrees set to Iike the body of a mother hen you have tk train them baby chicks to go under it just put them under it after you train them all to drink water then place them under it they smart they will get the idea. After a few weeks they gonna poop on it a lot buy a cone thing for it or keep cleaning it. Im just cleaning it and its getting frustrating

Doesn't seem to even work
This brooder plate doesn't even get warm to the touch. I can't tell if it's even working. It arrived very late and I had to get some thing else because my chicks needed a heat source and this didn't arrive on time. Seller won't accept returns on this apparently. Very disappointing.

lukewarm
even though shows a digital thermostat it is not correct. it does not get up to the correct temperature of 95 for new chicks. the highest it got was 85 and that was turned up all the way
