The cage had excellent instructions and was easy to assemble. Transports in car easily. Other products hang nicely on the sides of cage. Love the color teal. The cage is large but compact at same time. Has great access to get my baby out and to feed.
My sugar gliders love their new cage! It is more than spacious enough for 2 adult sugar gliders. My only dislike is the instructions are not very detailed.
I find the cages to be very sturdy,I have inserted Plexic glass sheets that are held up by the screws from the corners, Every couple of weeks I take it outside and powerwash it down. if anyone knows about lories they can be very messy! I have had these cages for about 6yrs. They are still as sturdy as the first day I put them together..... very happy with this purchase.
I just put in my review but wanted to add one more thing. Pauly, my Canary, loves that Spray Millet. It usually makes a small mess outside the cage. I had bought a Millet holder but it was hard for him to reach all the seeds, so then I used a clip and would clip it to the cage which made it easier. With this cage, you get 2 double feeding dishes, which are too big for his food, but it works great to lay the Millet Spray on one and it keeps the mess in the plastic dish. Those double dishes also came in handy when putting the cage together. I used them to separate the different size screws and the washers and nuts.
I have an african grey parrot, And I was looking for a cage for a long time, When I saw this cage i took a risky chance knowing it was actually a flight cage, but my girl has plent of room to play and having a flat top makes it easy to have a playtop. This cage is amazing for people with medium large parrots like greys and smaller cockatoos or some one with alot of small birds. But i just want to let all the bigger bird owners not to be afraid I took the chance and it was worth it had the cage a year now and couldt be happier! I live in an apartment and people are wowed by the size of the cage but it doesnt cramp up my house either. Excellent couldnt be happier!
This is one great cage for any price! [...]Putting the cage together is a breeze if you remember several simple things: First, forget the directions. With your helpmate, put the base together with the large bolts (in 10 minutes)and set aside. (Make sure the four ""stops"" are in the up position.) Put the cage together with the small screws (in 15 minutes) and set it on top of the base. Everything was fast, simple and the cage was very easy to move around. We couldn't be more delighted. We have one Cockatiel, have adopted four others and there is plenty of room for more. All the birds are happy and have their own sun decks (patios). This would be a wonderful cage for several large birds because of all the space. You will love this cage!
I bought this for our ring neck. Having looked at many cages and their prices I thought I would try this one due to the good reviews and I wasn't dissapointed. It is sturdy beyond my expectations and having wheels to move it around for cleaning are a bonus. It wasn't hard to put together and everything fit fine. Most of all our bird is happy in it and I feel good the she has plenty of room.
I had been searching online for months for the perfect flight cage for my english budgies. I didn't want to spend more than about 150. This was the only one of this size and quality that I could find near my budget. I put it together by myself. Took about an hour and a half. Wasn't too difficult. And I was very pleased with finished product. I chose sandstone which I had heard comes out pink from some manufacturers, but I wouldn't call it pink at all. Its a very nice warm beigy color. My birds love it and so do!
I have a Sun Conure I just got this cage for. It was pretty easy to assemble. The cage itself is massive. It's very spacious and is a luxurious home for a bird the size of a Sun Conure. The biggest bird I would probably put in here is an African Grey, but that's just me. The frame of the cage is very strong and sturdy. The bars on the cage are a little bit thin. They are strong, but some toys and perches with big washer and wing nut screw on attachments might bend the bars of the cage if screwed on too tight. The top doors on this cage are useless. I bent the ""locks"" shut on them. Otherwise, they're just escape hatches. The main door of the cage on the other hand is very strong with the best locking mechanism I've ever had the pleasure of using on a cage door. Your bird won't be able to open the door. The cage itself just sits on the bottom holder part, but it only sits on the frame on two sides and these are bars that are about an inch and a half wide. So the cage essentially rests on two bars with not much room to wiggle or move or else the top main cage part will fall off completely. Tomorrow I'm cutting a piece of plywood to fit on this part of the frame and putting the cage on top of that part for safety. Just with minimal moving and adjusting the cage, getting it ready, the cage fell off of it's stand. The security on the stand are two thin tabs on the bars holding the cage in place. They are flimsy. I think the plywood will be very sturdy there and make this cage nearly perfect. My bird thinks it's the bees knees. TONS of room for toys. My bird tried but couldn't damage the cage. Overall it's a really really really good buy for the price that it is. If you're looking for an affordable cage with a ton of room you won't get better than this. It has a few minor flaws, easily enough fixed. If you've got [$] and your bird(s) need a big roomy home, get it.
Well overall the cage was very nice and I loved the platinum color however I had several bars that were bent and a few that weren't welded down so I am returning the cage. The cage is huge and my advice to anyone purchasing this cage is to look it over thoroughly after setting it up. Taking it apart was much faster then putting it together. I am a woman and it took me about an hour to assemble it and 30 minutes to take it down. The instructions are completely useless and all you really have is a picture to look at.
