The umbrella is large enough to sit comfortably with a table between us. The base ( with 4 bags of sand) is sturdy enough to prevent falling. Even during a storm with winds ( with umbrella retracted) the base is solid.

I was very satisfied with the umbrella throughout the assembly process until I started turning the handle to extend or open the umbrella immediately the gears stripped out, cheap plastic, needed to be metal for the size of the umbrella.
