This portable air conditioner is really nice, packaged professionally. It comes with installation kit. Has a humidifier, remote and timer, plus child locks. Very impressed! We opened, looks nice, plugged in and it runs very quiet, cold air came out right away! Will be using as emergency backup. This heat is unpredictable, I recommend that you get this brand, as it is economical, and very well made.

This new AC unit is pretty big, and it does a great job cooling the whole area. It gets the room nice and cold with no issues. The only problem I had was with the window fitting. It seems like the included parts are mainly made for a vertical sliding window, or possibly a smaller window setup. When I used the extension piece, it made the fitting too long for my window. But without the extension, it was too short. My solution was to cut the extension piece down to the right size. Once I did that, I was able to make it fit properly, and the unit worked exactly how it needed to. I'm giving it 4 stars because I had to make that adjustment myself without clear instructions or warning. Besides that, it is a great air conditioning unit and does its job well.

Says 14000 btu able to cool 800 ft. Put simply no it is not and no it does not. I bought this to replace my 10000 Btu and that one cooled down better then this unit. Be another great buy for a small bedroom but not a medium sized living room.

Not impressed at all. worked 5 minutes and than stopped. took it back, never again.

The unit is not turning on. I've checked the plug several times- reset the button on the plug, which the light on the plug is illuminated. However, there is no power going to the panel. Pressing the power produces nothing. The remote - which we put batteries into straight away, works fine, but the panel is not responding to the remote. I've looked all over YouTube for videos troubleshooting this particular Unit - Patbrela Portable AC Model %23 PAC002 - to no avail. I looked in vain for a customer service line for this company to ask questions - the last thing I want to do in this heat, is have to haul this unit back to Walmart, I'd rather troubleshoot and get this thing working, but I have no choice at this point.
