we bought a couple of these the past few months and they seem to be great working saws. They also seem to last longer than some of the other brands we used in the past, and we use them on aluminum trim so its usually hard on a saw but these seem to hold up better than the rest..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw gets the job done and was available at an excellent price point. I checked the angles out of the box and they were spot on. Still accurate after 100s of cuts. Perfect for DIYers who don't need a larger saw. Very easy to transport. Metabo (Hitachi) tools have a great reputation and I expect this one to last a very long time in my workshop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not too heavy for transportation from job to job. Easy operation, stays true with all angle functions. Has enough power for cutting any wood sizes. Slides and head function very well. I have been a finish carpenter for almost 50 years and this is a very comfortable saw to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a backup saw for my Kapex (which breaks repeatedly) This saw has been my now number one go to for everyday fine carpentry building spiral stairs and railings. Excellent power, dust collection and lightweight. Great saw!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw because I wanted a sliding miter saw that had a close foot print to the wall. I had a 12 in sliding Dewalt saw which I loved except that it being so large, stuck out way past my shop bench creating a hazard; to use it, I was forced to make a roller bench just for the saw. After seeing your 10" sliding miter saw and it's design, I realized that the Dewalt was too big for my needs and your saw was just perfect, consequently I gave my son the Dewalt and bought the Metabo HPT and glad I did ~ couldn't be happier as a result. It's perfect!!! Not only does it fit my needs, it's got great features; handles easily and fits my workbench perfectly but the craftsmanship of your product is superb!!! This saw will surely last me for many years, it may be the last miter saw I may ever have to purchase. Thank you Metabo.
Got to replace a cordless Ryobi and it was night and day difference. This thing has power for days. Rips any size wood with ease. Cuts true and have had zero issues with it in 2 years of heavy use. Only con would be weight, it is heavy but definitely worth the versatility of no cords.
Very basic miter saw with 1 glitch as you must lower a bolt below the miter guage to get to a true 45 degree cut and then raise the bolt to be able to close the saw up properly. However for the incredible price this is a minor inconvenience that i am willing to deal with.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a follow-up review for the HPT 10” Miter saw. When i first purchased it - i believe i submitted a 4 star review. 4 years later and I'm delighted that Metabo is the one that i chose. Other than the Miter saw Station that i built and a few new Blades… The Saw remains in as new condition. I'd purchase the same one if i needed another.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favourite SCMS needs an update. The joy of using this saw is in the feel, everything feels right largely due to the vertical handle. The controls and weight and size are all excellent. I want this saw with forward rails-thats it.
I bought my saw 9 months ago and it was out of square on the tilt by 1 degree. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but there is no adjustment for this problem. The stops are non adjustable. I'm going to have to buy a whole new saw to have proper cutting.
