I love these pork and beans from great value. I've been eating pork and beans ever since I was a little child in the 60s and these taste really good. I love having these pork and beans with chopped up hotdog just to heat them up in the microwave pour some ketchup and it taste really good.

Great beans

candace March 21, 2026

I buy these and "dr" them up with brown sugar, oinion powder,(or you can use real onions but we do not like the texture) garlic powder, ketchup and mustard and boil then simmer. Great baked beans! Texture is spot on and the brown sugar makes a nice soupy texture that firms up some after refrigeration. Love these beans, I keep them on hand for pot lucks. Can is a pop top and easy for older hands to open.

The closest thing to British beans you can get.

William February 4, 2026

I love beans on toast and these beans are the closest thing you can get to the British breakfast beans. I make toast in my air fryer and then after heating the beans, I have that great British breakfast of beans on toast. These beans are tasty, have a good texture, and for the price make a great cheap meal for those on a budget. They are also great with rice. The sauce coats the rice and makes a meal out of two cheap ingredients. For under $2.00 you can have a filling meal.

I would highly recommend this product.

Nicky June 8, 2026

I like the taste of these Great Value pork and beans. They taste better than the name brand, and unlike some of the name brand pork and beans, the Great Value pork and beans are filled up to the top of the can with beans. Some of the name brand pork and beans are just mainly sauce, and the cans are only half full of beans. And, of course, the Great Value pork and beans are sold at a good price. I would highly recommend these Great Value pork and beans.

These are my favorite pork n beans. Some might not like them as they are a little smaller bean and saucier than some of the other brands. However, that's what i like best about them. I don't typically eat them by themselves and use them in recipes where I'm asking brown sugar and making a syrup base like homemade beans with hot dogs or baked beans.

Okay, But Not Exactly 'Great'

Renee October 27, 2025

If you have never tried Campbel's Pork-n-Beans, then you'll be fine with these, but if you've ever eaten Campbel's then as soon as you open the can on this brand of beans, you'll know you're 'settling.' The trick is to add a 1/2 cup of water and couple of teaspoons of ketchup and a tablespoon of brown sugar and a teaspoon of mustard and a shake of onion power to them, and just let them simmer on low for about twenty minutes.

The taste is not as flavorful as the name brands. it's economical to buy several cans for a family servants are usually maybe three people shelf life is decent for peppers overall not a bad deal I cut corners a lot with great value products never had one problem with them occasionally you may have a expired product with the others but not very often

Love the pop-top, but where's the pork ?

STUART June 25, 2025

Love the pop-top, why doesn't Walmart list which canned products have this feature ? Oddly, for "Pork and Beans", there is no visible chunk of pork. I'm fine with that, but they really should change the name to "Baked Beans". They might as well remove whatever molecule of pork is in there and call them "Vegetarian Baked Beans" (the "pork" is listed in the ingredients as less than the salt and vinegar). Taste is OK. Not as good as something like Bush's Baked Beans, but probably part of that is less added sugar (6g added/7 g total, per 130 g serving).

Mediocre

Terrell January 6, 2026

Mediocre . Not bad, not great. About the same as Van Camps. You have to “doctor” them up. My preference is Saucy Spoon, but I buy them at Fry's for $2.49 ea as walmart price is robbery price at $12 for two cans. Bushs is like buying a can of molasses

Dianne March 9, 2026

What happened? My last purchase of pork and beans had something that made the sauce look like it had sand in it. I heated it up thinking maybe it just needed to melt, but it still had a thickness that was extremely unappealing. Change it back to the smooth sauce please.
