18" 450MM BLACK EDITION SILICONE SCRUBBLADE WIPER BLADE

These wiper blades are unlike any other on the market. Whether you know it or not, if you have a newer car with driver options (lane centering, emergency stop, lane change warning), the manufacturer requires that silicone-based wipers be used. These are twin silicone blades that have "scrubbers." Clean and wipe in both directions. They are also ultra quiet. Check it out on Youtube. They are also medium-priced. a 26" wiper for my car (over two feet long) was $22.

I'm sure these are great blades, but despite saying they fit a 2022 Subaru Outback, they do not. Subaru uses their own type of connector that isn't included with these blades.

Purchased the ScrubBlade “Black Edition” and installed on a 2023 Rivian R1S. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the design initially seems well thought out. However, performance was disappointing from the first use. The blades produced noticeable chatter and left consistent streak lines across the windshield, even with a clean, untreated windshield and standard washer fluid. Wiping performance was worse than the OEM blades they replaced. I contacted the manufacturer and provided video of the issue. Their response was that the silicone design may not be compatible with some windshields and recommended returning the product. I can appreciate the idea behind the textured “scrubbing” edge, and it did seem to help slightly with bug removal. But in my case, the tradeoff in overall wiping performance wasn’t acceptable.

Missing parts for it to be installed on my vehicle. Noticed it was not closed in the same fashion as the 24” drivers side.

Wiper blades do not keep in contact the windshield throughout the stroke across the windshield even with new control arms.

Wipers streaked when I put them on in the rain on a decently clean windshield. Waited a week to see if there was a break in period. They still streaked HORRIBLY. I was unable to return these garbage wiper blades because the boxes were thrown away, and scrub blades customer service essentially told me to kick rocks; either return them to Walmart or they could give me a 20% off coupon TO BUY A DIFFERENT SET. Horrible company. Go with any other company and they will have better blades.

These wipers are garbage. When I installed them the streaked my windshield way more than the worn out ones I was replacing them with. I contacted their customer support and at first they were very responsive. But after a few emails they stopped replying to me. They said to give them a week or two to break in and then it should stop. Well, it’s been over a month and now and they are still streaking like crazy. Don’t waste your money on these.
