The price is fair for homeowner use compared toother brands, It works as advertised and will save a shoulder injury when compared to manual loppers, Its not that heavy and is easy to use, after each cut it resets and with a little ingenuity could be added to a short extension for a little higher reach,
This is my favorite garden tool. It is reliable and works so well after several weeks of use. I have another expensive brand, but it is so heavy and difficult to use. I have purchased another Ryobi product and I am changing the brand that I have purchased for years. This product is the greatest and not too heavy. I like the length so I don't need to bend to make a cut. The battery lasts surprisingly long which is another plus.
The good news is it is built tough and works good on the limbs it can reach. I had bought a cheaper brand last year that the pole broke in the first season. I did not have any trouble cutting 1 1/4" Maple, Pine or Poplar. I also cut 1" walnut and Oak ( I just didn't have any 1 1/4" that I wanted cut). The bad news is that it is built tough. It is heavy. I used it for about two hours (on one battery charge) when my arms gave out. It is short. Only about 28" above the handle so you can only reach about 3 ft' above your head. I wish it was longer.
the 18v pruner has precise cutting. allows user to you. allows operator non tiring heavy Branch
Advertised as able to cut 1 1/4" diameter branches, however, as delivered, this tool was only able to cut less than 7/8" diameter branches. After adjusting the blades to their maximum open position there was still only enough gap to go around a slightly over 1" diameter branch. I was not happy about that. The tool has plenty of power and the battery longevity is great. The blades are very sharp. The reach is ample but, of course, a little extra would be better. The tool is easy to maneuver because of it's light weight. Balance is acceptable.
This is the first time I bought a lopper. it worked well, but it I'm a small woman, so it was too heavy for me.
