Fits well works well. Use it for auto belay mostly
I've been climbing for 3 years and this is the 3rd harness I've purchased. This harness rivals my petzl harness..... It looks exactly the same other than the 180's straps are double enforced. This makes it a bit harder to tighten but very secure! I needed a smaller harness because I've lost 50 lbs so I decided on this one..... It does not disappoint! It's made very well! I see the first 2 comments sound like blind children because there is nothing wrong with the pictures or this harness. As I said, it rivals a petzl harness. I'm currently 140 lb and I'm 5'5 and this harness stays put and very secure when lead or top roping. If ur on the fence, just buy it! Shipping was very fast, it's packaged well with its own carry bag too!
I was interested in getting a value priced, safe, quality harness that pre and young teens that I know could use for rappelling and Rock Gym climbing. I know the users will be light weight (50 to 120 lbs) and will not be Lead Climbing. I was hesitant to purchase this harness because I had never heard of the company 180 South and, because of the two previous reviews even though it appears one of the reviewers had not even purchased the harness but was instead just commenting on the picture of it. Fortunately, after not being able to see the "twist" the 2nd reviewer was talking about, I did elect to purchase it (the S/M size). I should note here that I am an experienced climber and have used a number of harnesses from companies such as Black Diamond, Petzl and Metolius. The Petzl Calidris is my personal favorite and it saddens me that apparently Petzl will no longer be making them. I am quite satisfied with the harness I received! The value speaks for itself. As for the safety and quality: I have examined it quite closely and it appears to me to be as beefy and well made as any of my other harnesses. Everything: the webbing, buckles, tie in points
I put it on just like the photo shows, but the right and left don't line up and it's uncomfortable unless I swap them to match my left and right legs.
What a joke.. the belay loop in the picture is twisted.
