185 lb. Tow-Behind Broadcast Spreader Lawn & Garden

The Agri-Fab spreader I purchased is great. Hooks right onto my tractor and away we go. Love the handle on it which makes it easy to change settings while im driving the tractor. Great price too!

The spreader was fairly easy to assemble. The 185 pound spreader didn't hold 185 pounds of the weed and feed I was using but I'm still pleased with the spreader in general.

I used this spreader a couple days ago to seed/fertilize 2 rough disced deer food plots with an ATV with forage oats, winter wheat, and winter rye. I was impressed with the stability of this model with the 15" inflatable tires with the large capacity hopper. I can't imagine seeding about 2 1/2 acres of this large seed/fertilizer with my small hand seeder. I think I would have been still working on it, lol. Thank you!

The price was about half of other retailers when I was comparing pricing for the exact same item

Spreader works great, but I have a few comments. 1. It could use a shield in front of the impeller to keep the product off the tractor or tow vehicle. 2. The bushing that the feeder shaft goes thru lifts up out of the hopper, it need something to retain it. 3. Probably not much you could do about it, but I can not reach it form the operators seat. Making it hard to start and stop the product flow while in motion.

Easy to put behind my mower. Wasn't too sure about the gear before the broadcast. Didn't give specific assembling instructions for this portion of the spreader. The settings on opening the amount of seeds or broadcasting materials isn't correct. You have to do a trial and error run to set the amounts. Once everything is set it works great.

When I ordered the spreader, the picture showed it came with a grate and support bar for the hopper. I was informed these are upgrades that must be purchased additionally. The steel on the spreader is fairly weak. Thank you for allowing me to share.

I put it together using the video guide. It was very straight forward and easy. I started using the spreader to spread lime and managed to spread 8 bags before the spreader plate stopped spinning. It was very upsetting that a brand new spreader stopped working less than an hour into being used. It is very disappointing to not be able to use my spreader to do its job. Instead of using my new spreader I have to take time to figure out why it's not working. I bought the spreader to work, not to fix it.
