Bought this from AcmeTools, and right out of the box this saw was calibrated spot on at 0 degrees, and 45 degrees. No adjustments were needed. With the saw blade that came with the saw, it cuts through PVC brick molding and wood door casings with ease and creates smooth cuts. Im sure the cuts will be even better with 60 tooth or 80 tooth blades. It also cuts through 2x4s with no problems. Its so nice to have a portable battery powered miter saw. Definitely worth the money! Ill post a long term review in a few months.
This is a great saw for quick and small jobs. Like if you have to climb up to the third floor to install just a few pieces of base or casing or whatever. It's small and lightweight but it cuts very smoothly and accurately. I like the shadow line, it has proved helpful especially when cutting small pieces like when a baseboard has to return to itself. Overall it's a great option to have a nice lightweight saw for small tasks. Not that you couldn't trim a large job with it, but if you have a LOT of trim to do, a larger saw with a bigger table, more adjustments, and a proper saw stand will probably make the job a bit easier.
Great miter saw, can set this up anywhere without a cord, batteries last long and still have plenty of power. Came accurate right out of the box, quick and accurate cuts. Will definitely buy again.
Perfect for doing some missed blocking on the job site. Much lighter than my 36 v compound slide too. It doesn't have as much power as the 36, but it does the job.
Without even considering the price, this is the best 18 gauge cordless nailer on the market. Amazing power, great reliability, great economics, and amazing quality. Using this nailer is an absolute joy. I have no regrets and recommend this to everyone.
This saw has changed how I have been able to work on custom trim jobs. I no longer need to unload my entire miter station, this saw is perfectly capable of most trim cuts I need to make, especially for smaller remodel jobs. I love it.
Perfect cuts love the shadow line whatever you call it and so light i just throw my 36v battery on it not done with deck lol
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice saw by Metabo HPT. This is m6 first cordless miter. I have quite a number of Metabo HPT's cordless tools, but didn't realize how efficient, comfortable, useful it would be. It's incredibly light IMO, but still seems ridgid, well built, durable, etc., and so handy. I like how the blade can be so quickly changed w/ the on board allen key, and that's all you need. Again, the portability, and it being so lightweight, w/ battery installed. It seems to cut pretty accurate, and that's pretty important doing any kind of finish, or precise work. First cut in the video was 8/4 Ambrosia Maple, then 8/4 Black Walnut, then 6/4 Whit Oak (cut long grain). You do have to go a rich slower, but there's plenty of power for thick, dense hardwoods, and the battery seems to last quite well. The LED cut light is on point and very helpful (I've attached a photo w/ a partial pencil line still visible.) It does come w/ a number of helpful attachments, that I haven't used yet, except for the rear support. Overall I'm very pleased with this saw and will be very helpful in my shop, and on the job site for many reasons. Thanks Metabo HPT for another great tool.
We have used this saw trimming out a lot of windows. The saw has good power running on an 18v or 36v multi volt battery. I would recommend a better blade out of the box but the blade that comes with it is ok for rough cut stuff. The saw does have a shadow line that I like. I don't like lasers. However I don't like that you have to turn the light on and off with a switch. I wish it was activated with the trigger. For a 10” saw it's compact and lightweight. Great saw for punch out work.
I have sent messages about my saw! It cuts awesome but I can't use my electric adapter and it's stated on ad and box says it can?? That's the only problem with my purchase hope u can make it right?!!
