Worked great! Worked the first time and it was easy to set up. It is responsive and the audio through it only had about a 2 second delay. But it otherwise worked as good as wired! It also fit perfect and took up little room. Very happy with this purchase. Would highly recommend.

This adapter is designed for cars that only offer wired Carplay or Android auto. That is the case with my 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross. Since I have an Apple iPhone, I use Carplay to stream music and information from my iPhone to the head unit in my dashboard. This adapter is an intermediary receiver. It removes the requirement that your telephone be connected to your vehicle by wire in order for carplay or Android Auto to work. Instead, the phone makes the connection wirelessly using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to this tiny little device that plugs into the available USB port on your vehicle. The adapter comes with a connector for USB C and a wire to connect the device to your port in the event there is not enough room for it to connect directly. In my case , I have a USB A port in my dash so I could just take the device and plug it in directly. Once my car was started, all I had to do was make sure that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi were turned on in my telephone and the rest just works. There are no other steps required so this was one of the easiest installations I have ever done of a car audio component. It just works 100% and the sound quality is indistinguishable from wired connectivity. I have very fussy ears and I could not notice a difference. I made and received telephone calls and there was no degradation in the quality of the calls. Thus, I am giving this automobile Android/Carplay adapter 5 stars, because it took something that was cumbersome, and it automated the process by allowing me to connect wirelessly. This is a big win in my book.

Really happy with this wireless CarPlay adapter. Setup was super easy and only took a couple of minutes. Once connected, it automatically reconnects when I get back in the car, which is really convenient. I also love how small and compact it is—it doesn't look bulky or take up a bunch of space around the USB port. Connection has been smooth and reliable so far. Definitely a nice upgrade if you're tired of plugging your phone in every time you drive!

It is very easy to set up -- immediately pops up on the screen connect via Bluetooth on your phone. When you do that on your phone, the Apple Car Play menu appears and once you click through that menu, you are good to go. Next time you start your car, it immediately connects right to Apple Car Play. It's one less thing I have to do on my morning routine to plug in my phone. It's beautiful! (used in Toyota 2021 4Runner).

Decent wireless CarPlay unit that is a little bit bigger than most out there. The unit itself is not very big, but the size and the way that it sticks out, it can be a little bit difficult if you have a very small area to plug this into. Other than that, the unit works great.

I compare this to a 2-year-old Android auto wireless adapter that I thought I was having problems with. That one did not have updatable firmware. This one is a lot smaller. The lights are pretty bright on it, so you may need to keep that in mind when you choose where you want to install it in your car. Mine is hidden behind the dash. It runs on Wi-Fi. 4. So it's not using any sort of new technology, but I don't think you necessarily need it. It's not competing for any other bandwidth like your home router would. The firmware update process is not quite as straightforward as you'd hope. I won't get into the technical details but it's going to depend on the menu layout on your particular Android. I'm not a big fan of the button on the side. It serves two functions. One is to switch between two phones and to reset the device. You can see where this could be a problem. Outside of that, it seems to do everything it's supposed to do. Most problems are contributed to Android auto itself and not the actual adapter. That's a Google issue. Always has been always will be. But for the prize, you really can't go wrong with this. They all basically do the same thing. And if you're looking for one that works with YouTube and Netflix and all of that, well, if you've got an Android you already know how to get around all of that. If you've got an IOS device, I guess you're on your own.

seems to be working okay it took me about 2 days to figure out how to get it working though. nowhere in the directions does it say that you have to have apple carplay activated in order to run your Android auto through it. the directions are about useless doesn't even have the password that you need for the Wi-Fi connection and then which by the way is all 8s

I have Android Auto in my Audi. I followed all the instructions of this fob, then I started to have issues with my phone connecting to the car, and when I finally rebooted it per the instructions, my phone was no longer recognized via cable. I would not recommend as I've read mixed reviews in Reddit forums also. Now my phone no longer connects even after doing a full hard reset of the infotainment system and clearing the cache on my phone. Not recommended, but you might get lucky with this dongle. You get what you pay for.

I bought this to finally get rid of the wires in my car, but it has been a total waste of time. I followed the instructions exactly, but it refuses to connect to my phone or my car's system at all. It just sits there doing absolutely nothing. When it wouldn't connect, I tried to update the firmware to see if that would fix the issue, but the update process is completely broken too. The setup page wouldn't load properly and the update kept failing halfway through. It is a completely non-functional product that doesn't do a single thing it is advertised to do. Save your money and look for something else.
