The Fitbit does work, but took more than two weeks to reach that point due to several issues...
First, the instructions and all markings on the box are in Chinese. No other languages.
Second, the device was set to Chinese, and that made the associated app default to Chinese.
Third, Fitbit Customer (Non)support is extremely poor and unresponsive. On the first 11 calls to CS, guess what the only language they spoke was? Right...Chinese!
After hours on the internet and digging through forums where others have had the exact same problems, and no small amount of reverse engineering of the deive and app, we got it to work.
The worst part? The Fitbit is WAY overpriced. You can get a Luxium smart watch that does more for half the money, and it works right out of the box.
My advice is to avoid this particular toy.
