(2 pack) Better Than Bouillon Premium Roasted Chicken Base, Shelf-Stable, 8 oz Jar

Here is my Potato Soup recipe. I measure with my heart, but this product is the secret ingredient. Peel 5-6 potatoes while a pack of bacon is baking in the oven. Boil several cups of water. Cube your potatoes. Optional- a carrot and 1/4 an onion, 1 stalk of celery. 3 or so table spoons of Better than B, and a tsp of Mixed up Salt. (onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper) dash of red pepper flakes. Taste your broth. add more BB if needed. dont add more salt, the bacon will do that for you. When the potatoes are soft and your bacon is ready, transfer to a blender. Add your potatoes first. Slowly add some broth, 1/4 c cheddar cheese,a few strips of bacon, and heavy cream. Blend. It should be pretty thick, add more broth and cream for a thinner soup. Top with cheese and chopped bacon.

This is wonderful seasoning for making gravy, chicken and dumplings or chicken soup. I’ll be using this for sure for Thanksgiving gravy. We have about 25 people for potluck at my apartments and I get the honors of making the mashed potatoes and gravy. Try it you’ll love it too!!

This is probably the eighth or ninth jar of this that I have bought since I discovered it several years ago. I use it pretty much all the time when chicken broth is called for the taste is fantastic and much deeper in texture than regular store-bought broth. It is a little salty so take care before you salt something yourself All in all this is a staple in my refrigerator that I don’t wanna do without.

I only use Better Than Bouillion products. I no longer use dried cube or dried grains for making broth. Better Than Bouillion has the best flavor and is easy to use. The conversion is easy too; use 1tsp to make 1c of broth. Refrigerate the product after opening. The shelf life is longer than expected, over a year at the least.

The Better Than Bouillon Premium Roasted Chicken Base, Shelf-Stable broth is my go to concentrated broth that I use. It's handy when you don't have a large container of chicken broth on hand. Each jar makes a plethora amount of chicken broth and is easy to keep on hand since it comes in a small jar and not the large container that takes up too much space in my pantry. The Better Than Bouillon Premium Roasted Chicken Base, Shelf-Stable broth tastes great which just the right amount of salt used in the product and no aftertaste. I will definitely purchase this product again.

CHICKEN: I love to add just a 1/2 tsp to my mashed potatoes, or 1 tsp to cooked wide noodles with butter. Taste is mild chicken, but use smaller amt if you're on a low salt diet. VEGGIE: I add generous amount to enhance cooked vegetable dishes. Just be sure to taste while cooking because it is salty.

Without the fuss of dry cubes, it stands alone, but even better is the well-rounded chicken flavor that it imparts. I add a little to my noodle water or even when I'm boiling potatoes for mash. It's never spoiled (although I keep mine in the fridge door).

Really good. I now use the reduced sodium because this one is just way too salty, therefore 4 stars.

This is so convenient, and great time saver. Very salty but flavorful, I use a lot but have to "water it down" to get over the salt content. I do add a lot of pepper when cooking with this as it helps my metabolism (reduces water retention).

Delicious chicken flavor and great added to ANY dish that you want to enrich with a chicken flavor. I use a bit of it in rice depending on how much salt I'm willing to add to the entire recipe. I think the sodium content is probably on par with other bouillon seasonings, but I'm convinced that "Better Than Bouillon" is the best in taste and ease of use (as much or little as you decide for a particular dish). Of course, it must be stored in refrigerator after opening (which means it has to be used at some point), but I couldn't tell from the description how long it can be kept after opening. My 4-star rating is solely because of the high sodium content.
