Bobs Red Mill old fashioned rolled oats are a good source of soluble fiber. I try to include them in my diet a few times a week. I also make delicious crunchy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies using this oatmeal. Sometimes I add dried fruit and cinnamon to make a microwave oatmeal bowl. I love the chewy consistency.
Little pricey, but I love the quality of Bobs products. Especially when ordering online for delivery, the bag is the way to go. Many reviews about the cardboard canisters losing their integrity during shipping and the oats wasted all over the inside of the box. WM may have great prices, but their shipping department needs a lot of work, so keep that in mind when buying for shipping.
Organic and gluten free, these oats cook up well in almost everything, from straight oatmeal (I cook with coconut milk instead of water) to oatcakes to granola. I even grind these oats for flour and use in baking. Extra nutritious and tasty, flour made from these oats binds well with the other ingredients in baked goods. Save a bundle, as well. Walmart has these oats discounted, so the price is very good. I store the unused oats in the freezer, so they stay fresh.
Oatmeal is generally considered to be free of gluten, but being gluten sensitive, I get horrid stomach pain from products not labeled GLUTEN-FREE. Since I MUST live a GF LIFESTYLE, I've trusted BOB'S RED MILL GLUTEN-FREE CERTIFIED PRODUCTS. This particular oatmeal allows me to enjoy a delicious, creamy bowl of oatmeal, flavored with a bit of vanilla, a sprinkle of GF cinnamon, a half TBS of homemade brown sugar, and sprinkled with chopped toasted walnuts. Once in a while, I put in a few currants while it's cooking in the MW. ALSO, I can make oat flour when needed for a recipe. Bob's Red Mill 1 - 1 GF flour blend, some oat flour, and these oats are the basis for oatmeal cookies. (Of course there are other needed ingredients!). Our adult daughter has Celiac disease so she also enjoys this product and uses it for cooking/baking. The price offered by Walmart was great, considering that it goes for upward of $10 in supermarkets and other websites. I highly recommend this product, especially if you must avoid gluten.
I do recommend this item but I recommend you not buy from walmart.com. it's been on sale and I bought several bags not checking the date until I got sick. been checked all of the bags that walmart.com sent me and they expired 2 years ago. I recommend the product but don't get it from walmart.com!
First...I love the packaging! I actually bought the rolled oats for dog treat recipes, and I can confirm that my Ranger LOVES Bob's Red Mill, Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, Organic 32 oz.
After trying several oats from the market, I finally found one that I love the most. It's moderately expensive than most oats, but it's fresh and tasty and perfect for my breakfast.
Just love Walmart prices and Great quality of products Thanks Walmart for making our shopping easy. Jeff
This IS Oatmeal !....Taste and Texture .The Oats are not all broken up! This also make baked things better tasting.
Not the cheapest but good quality and available quickly. Resealable bag is a very handy feature in a hot humid climate.
