My daughters are in a scouting program, and they had a secret Santa to participate in. Well, we had to have a gift valued around $10 that was camping themed. Easiest fix ever! We made a smores kit using one of these, graham crackers, a chocolate bar, and a bag of marshmallows! HUGE HIT! Not only that, but we are a camping family. We knew going in that these are the best for kids. The length is perfect, and you can roast multiple marshmallows at a time. We happen to own about a dozen of them!
These are very sturdy. They have a (non metal) very good handle so your hands don't get hot. You can sit back and relax and still cook your marshmallows- these things are long.
On one of our recent cold nights here in Florida we decided to fire up the outdoor fire pit and have hotdogs and smores for dinner and dessert. These roasting forks worked out perfectly. We were able to roast two hotdogs or brats at the same time without any worry of the weight of the food causing the fork to bend like we have experienced previously with different forms. These forks would also hold a piece of other solid meat as well (steak, pork loin). The wooden handle gives the fork good sturdiness making it easy to hold the fork and rotate the fork as the food is cooking. The length is ideal also. You are close enough that the fire light helps view the food cooking but still enough length that you are a safe distance. We were able to cook 4 to 6 large smore sized marshmallows at a time also so the kids weren't antsy waiting for their treats. I will be buying more of these so I have about 8 or 10 on hand for future use with a crowd so everyone has their own fork and can experience the cooking for themselves.
The chrome seems to stick to hot dogs a bit (more than stainless steel), but the stainless steel forks I have were $65 a pair. So it's not really an issue considering. The length gets your face away from scorching heat of oversized fires. Best deal on the planet.
The forks are a great price and are fantastic for roasting marshmallows on a bonfire. They're long enough to let little ones help without getting too close. The wooden handle keeps hands from getting too hot and the long prongs are great for lots of marshmallows.
Heavy duty. Long enough to cook away from fire pit. Has a hole on handle to put on a hanger for storage. Doesn't fold or retract for easier storage.
this was perfect for roasting hot dogs and even marshmallows. definitely recommend was easy to use and long enough to not get burned.
S'mores are always a great go to, but you have to have the proper utensils to make them! Great quality for the price. 10/10 recommend.
Great product for the price. Very long and sturdy. A bit sharper on the tips than I expected, great for food just watch out with kids.
Like other reviewers here, I ordered six packs of these forks. I ordered two of these packs. What I received in the mail was two forks. Expensive forks. After too much effort, I was told I would be sent replacement items without having to return the original items. I received two more forks. At this point I had 4/12 forks, so I guess I only paid triple the price for each one. After reaching out again, I was eventually told I would be refunded. I was not refunded. I now have 4 good but ridiculously expensive forks. Don't bother trying for the 6-pack. Walmart will apparently just rob you and then gaslight you for asking them to finish sending you what you paid for.
