Corelle continues making the best plates with plain boring styles. This was the best style I could find and Walmart is the only place selling it on the small round plates. A good find! Nice styles are found on the very thick stoneware of other manufacturers. But no other plate materials match the thin sturdy plates of Corelle, and I dislike thick plates.
I have 2 large, older sets of Corelle that I will be selling and wanted to replace them with the newer Vitrelle Corelle. When I saw this pattern, it caught my eye. My tastes are more contemporary so this design was perfect! After doing extensive internet research on prices, I promptly ordered from Walmart 4 sets, each containing 2 dinner plates, 2 appetizer plates, and 2 soup/cereal bowls followed by another 2 Walmart orders, 1 for 8 lunch plates, 1 for the platter. Walmart definitely has the best prices. I especially like Corelle because it's lightweight but so very sturdy. You can't go wrong with Corelle!
We are using these plates for our grandchildren. Virtually all plates made for kids are plastic/melamine, and we're trying to avoid plastics/microplastics. We know Corelle--basically a tough kind of glass--IS more breakable than plastic, but it's still pretty tough! This red, swirly design is cute for kids, and--very important!--these "lunch" plates are a good size for kids. (Initially, we bought a combo set that had 2 sizes of plates, but the "dinner" plates were too large, and the "appetizer" plates were too small!)
I was replacing plates with this design but I thought I was ordering dinner plates. These were smaller luncheon plates but just as handy and great for just two people!
We've had Corelle dishes for decades and decided to get a new set because the wife likeds the design. They stickers they put on, however, can be difficult to remove
The corelle dishes hold to there name....my mom had a set and now im buying them...great quality...hold up...i love this pattern/design...would buy over and over again
I like the drsign and pattern. I needed to replace two of the Walmart Main plates that I bought 12 years ago as they borh became chipped. This Corelle lunch size plates are perfect for meals and heating I leftovers.
i really like the pattern and they seem very sturdy. i dont care for thick dishes. i always have like corelle for the brautiful patterns an durability
My comment is on the delivery. I have been a member of Walmart plus for over a year. I do not understand yet the process that you use to deliver goods. I get multiple deliveries of the same item rather than them coming all at once. So this leaves room for a lot of errors. I received the wrong sized plates. I asked for 8.5 you sent the 10 inch ones. I went back and looked at the order and I ordered the right product. So this has happened at least three times where the right item is ordered, but the wrong order is sent it'snot a reliable way to do business the way you process this it's it's very confusing. I also consider all the gas that's being used to make multiple drops rather than just combining them and waiting a day and then bringing them all out at once. And I was never able to sign up with Paramount because I previously was a Paramount subscriber and they would never allow me to subscribe to the Paramount that was included with this Walmart plus membership so for that reason, I won't be continuing the Walmart plus. The delivery options is that I want it shipped . You don't wanna ship it. They'll say they'll only bring it out to me. I tried to sign up with Walmart plus, for the Paramount and I tried to sign up with the Hallmark when you had the promotion for that and neither one subscription worked ever. Even after finally finding a support contact- it was never allowed
I ordered a box of 6 and a pack of 2 plates. The box of 6 that arrived was obviously already opened and repacked, plates didn't have any stickers on them and the colors were visibly faded. In other words it was a box of very obviously used plates sold as new. I should've known better than to buy them from walmart.
