(2 pack) Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes, No Salt Added, 28 Oz

I have made homemade spaghetti sauce using this brand of crushed tomatoes twice in the past month. I started with some quality EVO olive oil then added 1/4 lb ground sausage %26 1/2 an onion chopped. Sauté till sausage is browned a little then add 3 chopped garlic cloves, cook another minute then add the tomatoes from can. Bring to almost boiling on medium heat then reduce to simmer, put lid on partially open with a spoon and cook for 3 hours stirring often. OMG it was the best sauce I have had in 20 years! I will be stocking this brand from now on. I usually buy another more expensive brand and do not get the same amazing flavor as these tomatoes.

I really like this brand of crushed tomatoes. Bought them because they were on a two pack special price. My goodness! …they shipped them all the way from Pennsylvania! Still they arrived quickly and in good shape. Their taste and color is so much richer than my usual brand. I made some awesome soup and marinara sauce with them. The cans contained tomatoes and citric acid, that's all, no salt. This brand claims they use only vine ripened tomatoes at peak flavor and I believe them! Great taste and texture. Good job on delivery Walmart!

These crushed tomatoes have a bright red color with a bright wholesome tomato flavor and are full of pulp. The pulp to water ratio is high. Good value for price.

Instead of paying $$$$ for a good quality jarred sauce I make my own. This can seemed like something that someone's Nonna would approve of. It was exactly what I needed.

Ordered 2 cans and they arrived so badly dented I did not want to use them. We've all seen (and used) cans with a dent, but these gave new meaning to the word dent! The one was almost folded in half! It's really unbelievable that a company (and the packer) would actually believe that a consumer would accept cans so severely dented. Ordered two more cans as I was anxious to try this brand and see what kind of a sauce they made. But sure enough, they arrived with one of the cans dented. Won't be purchasing these again!

Surprised that this gets such good reviews. I usually buy Contadina crushed tomatoes, which I love and I will continue to buy. I thought I would try this brand to compare and it's nowhere near the quality in my opinion. It has such a citric, acidy taste. Not a fan and will not buy again

They add citric acid to it, which makes it too acidic. I woke up with acid reflux after eating chili made with it. I never had that problem with other brands.

Every time I order canned goods from Walmart pickup, the cans are dented! How can this be unless the shoppers are told to include dented cans as a way to get them off the shelf?
