It said temporary relief. My filling fail out due to oral surgery. It lasted 46 days and was a great relief. Be sure to use cotton around affected area for quicker hardening process.
I loved that this came in a timely manner because the temporary filling came out, and my niece needed something to keep the air and food out until she. goes back to the dentist for a permanent crown.
While traveling in another state recently, I lost a filling. It was awful %26 there was no way to even try and get a temporary filling without it costing hundreds more than I had on hand. I was told by someone this stuff worked great %26 I figured what did I have to lose? It was simple to use and once it was in place, unnoticeable! It really and truly saved the entire trip! No pain from food getting caught in the void %26 having to be dug out, no sensitivity and the tiniest bit of discomfort I did feel was eased immediately when it was in place. It absolutely saved the day until I was back home twelve days later and able to get to my dentist for a repair. It gave me great relief as the mild discomfort I was feeling just faded away. I hadn't been eating much previously but once I put it into the hole in the tooth, I had no other issues. I was able to eat and drink with no problems!
The side of my molar cracked off and the filling I had in that tooth had a sharp edge to it. I couldn't get to the dentist right away and this did the job. I filled in the piece that was missing and I couldn't feel that sharp edge with my tongue anymore. It was like nothing happened to my tooth. Very natural feeling. Sets hard.
I had a filling fall out of a molar that I need a root canal on, and I needed something to fill in the gap until my appointment with the endodontist. I used Dentek years ago and it worked perfectly and stayed in place for weeks, so I had high hopes for this stuff. Unfortunately, the texture is odd, and it disintegrates in your mouth before it has the chance to harden. Once you finally get some to harden in place, it only lasts for a day, tops. I guess it does its job, but I feel like the product quality used to be much better.
It breaks up grainy in your mouth doesn't harden like you need to or stick so when you least expected, it's off the tooth rolling around your mouth again it needs to be a little bit stiffer consistency. I needed it to cover a pointy broken piece of tooth, causing extreme soreness this just didn't help.
I dont want to totally knock this product, it might work for another type of problem. I had a temp cap/crown come off, it was on for 7 days. I was able to put the cap back on before I put the paste in, after I put the paste in I couldnt get it to fit and set correctly. I read some reviews off their ad and people say it works to fill the tooth when a filling comes out, and helped with pain too. This is a thick white paste, you pull a bit of it off with the the tool that is included. It was priced at about $3.00 . Good luck if you ever need it. you can find them on You Tube.
Put on my broken tooth, felt stable. Left 3 hours. Took a bite on a ppj and broken part fell off the first bite. On soft white bread. Has no use for anything.
It tells you to take a small scoop of the product and roll it around and squish it into the crown and put it on and bite down to adhere it.. but my tooth was way too high- my bite was off- and it made my other teeth hurt, and it fell out when I was eating- even though I was eating on the other side of my mouth. Didn't seem worth the trouble. The Dentist's office recommended drying the tooth underneath and using a dab of toothpaste to hold it in place... I think that would have been better than this product.
I was so furious that everyone had left the house to ignore my screaming!!! This is a joke. It does NOT set in water like the directions say.. it just makes it worse; it's like a watery clay paste that disentigrates and you can't even reuse... It's all over my tongue, cheeks, etc. Now, I'm enraged AND STILL in pain... my pulp is still exposed. The tooth is broken in a U shape, so you would think that it would easily adhere!! I'm going to buy dental wax.. it's way more firm and you can reuse it. I think it will work way better for my needs. I'm still mad that I have to make another order just to get dental relief though. Drop the $35 minimum, Walmart!!..... OR put more stuff out there for shipping!!
