The pitch of the whistle definitely stopped my chihuahua from barking. I would never use a shock collar %26 I couldn't afford the collar that vibrates. I bought this thinking it would not work, but I thought I give it a try, since it was so inexpensive %26 I had nothing to lose. When I first tried it, she was barking really crazy, because she saw someone walking their dog. I blew it %26 lo %26 behold it worked! If it worked for my crazy barking chihuahua, it just might work for you, too.

The white whistle is lower volume than the black whistle. The pups hear the black one better across the yard. Thank you, they are nice to have and the lanyard helps keep it close.

As soon as I received both of them, I put one up just in case one broke. The first time I used it my dog stopped, barking out the window, and anytime I need to recall for them being outside it takes one blow and my great Pyrenees comes running! I wish I had had this training tool sooner!!

This is a whistle bt did NOT do what we expected, I specifically googled whistle to make dog STOP barking. I have a dog next door that barks til 4 am and lets just say he still does .

I bought these in the hope that I could persuade my two dogs to stop excessively barking. I don't know if its my dogs or the whistle but I blow the whistle they did look at me the first few times I blew it but it did not stop them from barking. I am wondering if the whistles are not as strong as I need.

I was in desperate need of the dog whistles to stop annoying neighbor dogs from barking. When ordered, these items were supposed to be delivered four days from purchase. I had to pay an extra $1.99 for shipping on these. The tracking info showed the whistles in the East Coast so I trusted they would be here shortly. Next day, showed they were in China!!!! The date kept getting pushed back as they sat in China so I contacted Walmart who contacted the seller. The date got pushed back again, so I contacted the seller myself. After impatiently waiting for nearly 2 weeks, the whistles showed up in a plastic package with absolutely no instructions or information whatsoever!! We have tried to "adjust" these whistles by turning them left or right and it doesn't seem to do anything at all to phase these annoying dogs. The whistles are pretty but they are junk. I should have purchased another better quality brand made in the US and not these useless things.

How was I supposed to use this item? I did use it, but I don't think it worked. My sister's dog kept barking, was that for that??? I donated it to a thrift store.
