These were substituted for other canned pineapple I ordered, but I was pleased with them. They are packed in their own juice, and the tidbits were sweet and flavorful! They’re just the right sized bite to eat with cottage cheese. I will order them on purpose next time.

The convenient package features a pull-tab can, making it easy to open, serve, and store—perfect for picnics, snacks, or quick desserts. These juicy, tender tidbits are vibrant and flavorful, ideal for baking, meal prep, or as a refreshing side. Shelf-stable and versatile, it’s a family-friendly staple that delivers great value and effortless enjoyment any time of day
Excellent substitute for fresh pineapple which cannot be used in certain recipes but also very tasteful As a stand alone fruit dessert I would not hesitate to eat it myself or offer it to guests Fresh tasting and without syrupy liquid as it’s packed in pineapple juice
I was buying single cup servings (12 pack) in plastic cups. After the second time I received damaged goods. It appeared someone had set something heavy on the box and smashed the plastic cups. So I decided to buy canned tidbits and it has worked out very well. I separate the pineapple into 4 containers and refrigerate. I actually get more by doing it this way and no more crushed packages. I buy the 12 pack.
I used to buy the chunks and crushed, sometimes the rings to saute until brown in a bit of olive oil. I like these when adding tumeric, ginger, and fresh black pepper ground into and stirred well. Sometimes I add that mix to cowboy caviar that has many ways to incorporate various veggies into an apple cider vinegar Italian type dressing with kidney beans, corn, purple onion, cucumber or avocado, maybe some yellow grape tomatoes, so many varieties to throw together for a great dish anytime of year. The health benefits are innumerable and with this tasty treat that is so good and refreshing that it tastes like cheating! Cheaper brands run the risk of being bitter. Same with Mandarin oranges. Not crazy about this brand and their history but monopolies are not something that can last into the future.
These tidbits make a great snack. I also use them to make pineapple chicken, smoothies, and in cakes - they're the perfect size for cooking and baking. They're tasty without being too sweet, I would definitely recommend them.
I’m much prefer these over pineapple chunks. They are just the right size for your mouth not overly large. These go in all of my recipes that call for pineapple chunks. These are also a good size to put on a pizza. Especially good in the pineapple casserole recipe.
Dole used to be the best. Now their standards have dropped like they are a generic brand. Generic brands, I never ever buy. The problem must be where they are manufacturing. We should never have to pick out bad pineapples when cooking or while eating. This is what has become of Dole, picking out the bad pieces.
This Dole product is not up to Dole's good standards I have known for many years. It is definitely nowhere near the high quality of Dole's Tropical Gold pineapple or other Dole pineapple products. I didn't finish it and tossed it after giving it a try.
The question is would I recommend the product probably, but not being shipped the way they do shipping now by not packaging it correctly there was no insert packaging paper it looked like somebody banged them with a hammer see pics. Walmart makes it right but it’s unnecessary if it was just packaged properly for delivery/shipping
