I've finally found a mole sauce that is perfect for easy use at home. I put them on tamales, dip my chicken strips, fajitas, French fries, chips, tortilla, etc...use as a sauce for chicken wings! A small dollop of sour cream or plain Greek yogurt adds a little mellow to the spice, which is perfect, in my opinion - has some heat but not too spicy. Tastes good on top of enchiladas with melted mozzarella on top. You can do so much with it, plus it's a great price. I pour it into a jar %26 keep in the fridge so I can use a little at a time.
There's a harder way to make mole using the jar. This is more pricy but very easy to use. I'd rather pay more and not struggle. You can shred a rotisserie chicken in a bowl and pour this right on top. Sooooo good! (You eat this warmed for those who do not know)
I use this product for my chicken mole all the time. It has a great taste and can even have additional seasoning added to it. It's been impossible to find in Walmart stores for the last two or so months (Fall 2025). But I don't believe it's been discontinued as I see empty space on the shelves in store. Maybe production of this boxed version has been temporariliy paused for whatever reason.
As close to homemade as possible... got a bit of spice in it not overpowering but delicious. Very quick meal when I pair with Walmarts chilled rotisserie (traditional flavor) chicken. Warm up mole, peel skin off the rotisserie chicken, shred it and add to mole sauce. Your welcome.
First and foremost it's ready to use which is great when you don't have a lot of time on you hands. Secondly it's tastes like the real deal. Last but not least, it goes well with all meats especially if you love the taste of mole. Better recommended meat is any part of the chicken.
Going to Maria is delicious years ago when I first had it the first time I wasn't crazy for it but now I just love it and you can add to it. You can make it spicier. You can make it sweeter and she's done the main work for you it's a wonderful product. I'm so glad we have it in the United States. I'm not Mexican but I was married to a Mexican and that's how I learned about so many different foods and we're just blessed to have some of these things at our local Walmart thank you
Dona Maria Ready to serve Mole is perfect for a quick meal setup. I buy a rotisserie chicken, shredded it and use this ready to use mole on it. Delicious! Just add corn tortillas and some sides. I usually have two boxes of this mole in my pantry. It's tastes authentic, not too spicy just perfect.
It makes one of the fastest, easiest and most flavorful main dishes there is, once you pour it on the chicken. Makes my life so much more peaceful just knowing that at least once a week I don't have to worry about what to do for mealtime. None of us ever get tired of it. And I get more time to do the things I normally miss out on.
im really used to the concentrated paste that i think ill stick to that in the future. I like my mole thick so with the paste i dont add alot of liquid but since this is ready to go thats not an option. the taste is great, if you like your mole more soupy this is a time saver, if youre like me and like a thicker more concentated flavor stick with the paste.
This is a lot easier to cook with! It smothers over the chicken like butter on bread, and the aroma takes me back to my great-grandmother's cooking. The spiciness is lacking, but the flavor brings out the authenticity of the days back then. We do not use chocolate in ours, just the mole, some salt/pepper, and simmer the chicken over medium heat, letting the chicken soak up the flavors. Afterwards, roll the chicken into an enchilada, taco, or place over some street corn rice. Either way, drip some of the mole sauce over the item you're eating for extra flavor. Tasteful!
