I wish i had bought these bottles sooner. I didnt know about these until he was 9 months old. This would have helped my sons gassiness and constant spitting up bc of the gas. I always give these as a baby shower gift. These bottles are an untold secret.
My daughter was a preemie and had problems eating. Her Occupational Therapist said that Dr. BROWN would be the best nipple and bottle for her to start trying on. She had lacking issues and everything. Dr. BROWN nipple really helped, she worked best on these. Also, I like how they range in age groups on the nipple. So we can keep track on her progress. She is OK now a level 3 nipple now at 8 months. We feel comfortable with Dr. BROWN NIPPLE AND BOTTLES. Will keep on using their products. Even for the 2nd child in the future!
My son was weighing 5lbs 12oz went home weighing 5lbs 8oz. Due to my son being born with a cleft lip and palate he struggled with gaining weight and swallowing extra air making his very uncomfortable . We met with our plastic surgen when my son was 2 weeks old and they gave us a Dr. Brown bottle. 2 weeks after getting the bottle my son had his first surgery and he was up to 7lbs 4oz and having alot less tummy troubles. Your bottles saved us. Thank you.
I have been using these bottles/nipples since my first baby. I discovered that the thicker the formula , the higher the nipple should be. I see some parents are having a rough time with the nipples but my advice is go up a level on your nipples and if the bottles are leaking, it would be the filter. You have to replace these sometimes.
My daughter didn't have a problem w other bottles, but we received Dr. Brown's ones when she was a little over a month old and we immediately donated her other ones and switched her over to these. She takes them amazingly well and doesn't seem to have as much of a problem spitting up afterwards and she gets so little air that a lot of times, she doesn't even need to burp (although I always give it a good shot each time!). I will say that cleaning the bottles is a bit more time-consuming, but it's totally worth it to me. I will start my next baby on these bottles and intend to have them be the sole bottles s/he uses.
After trying many brands of bottles (my daughter wouldn't nurse and had many feeding issues) we liked dr browns the best by far! They attached right up to my medela pump which made it very easy to switch. They have lots of pieces...that means lots of dishes, but totally worth it!
I have to agree with the above comment. My baby is tongue tied and had a hard time with feeding. We used Dr. Browns and no problems. It also cut back on his hiccups and spitting up. I love the new bottles that you can use with or without the inserts. Now that he is older we are using them less. The baby also loves the pacifiers, they are all one piece (which I like, no worries about pieces coming apart and choking) and they are the same as the bottle nipple. I wish the bottles were easier to clean but, I don't think there is much you can do about that. Overall I am very happy with the bottles and pacifier.
Love the bottles but hate the measurements on the back. Since the babies were preemies we need to record the amount they drink. It is very frustrating since they are so hard to read. Since they are so difficult to read we don't use them all the time. We darkened the numbers with permanent marker, but it wears off eventually.
I love these bottles but have such a hard time reading the numbers. The numbers are so small, close to each other and clear color. Why don't you make them blue or whatever other color you want. PLEASE! The worst is when trying to prepare a bottle in the middle of the night when I am sleepy and so tired! This is the only reason why I am giving 3 stars. If it wasn't for this I would give it 5 stars but this is really a big deal breaker for me. I ended up marking the ounces with a sharpie!
Whatever clown thought going from a 1 to a 2 should be a 70% flow differential is an idiot. But at this point you've already bought all these garbage bottles that were no better than any others.
