It melts in your mouth.It's also perfect for all those picky eaters who must be force-fed vegetables. I am a picky eater (just ask my mom, she remembers). That means if the food is not perfect, I'd rather starve. Ajvar, however, I loved ever since I first tried it, years ago. Not all ajvars are the same, as anyone from the Balkans will tell you. True, original, REAL ajvar is actually made with peppers only. Anything besides peppers, salt, and tiny amount of oil and vinegar, is filler. Of all the ajvars I ever tried, this is the only one that has no fillers, and that tastes absolutely amazing. I even found out that the company grows their own peppers on top of a mountain (where they grow other things such as fruits for their jams). Yes, the management of "Granny's secret" is truly focused on quality, and they control everything, from start to finish. That's why this ajvar is perfect and why they won numerous International awards (mostly in Europe). One little note: this particular ajvar is somewhat spicy. Not my first choice as I prefer "mild" version which this company makes also, but which, for whatever reason, is not available on Walmart.com. But this spicy version is not too spicy -I hate spicy foods, so you can rest assured that this is not really too hot. You eat it tipically with other foods, similar to the way you eat ketchup, so the taste blends. Once I ate it and thought it was the mild version, not hot one. And last but not least, their jams are absolutely to die for. If you can get a hold of their rosehip jam to try, you will know what heaven is like. All in all, ajvar that stands head and shoulders above the crowd! Highly recommended!

This is delicious and highly versatile. It's great on sandwiches, wraps, scrambled eggs to name a few.

This is my go to ajvar sauce. Perfectly seasoned and not too spicy. I use it as a condiment for sandwiches and meats.

Great as a snack on crackers. Wonderful addition to a charcuterie board. Good as a condiment on roast chicken. Very flavorful.
