i work for WalMart. i bought these light bulbs with my own money. I have been using one of these bulbs in my porch light since last year. The bulb hasn't burnt out yet. it turns itself on at night and off in the morning. it is dark on my block ever since the city installed LED street lights. This bulb lets me see out my window while shining a light in the eyes of people on the street. My house is the only house on the block with the porch light on all night, it is rated at 9 watts while being equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent bulb. The base is size A19. My porch light uses an "ordinary^ light bulb socket. Look inside your light fixture. My porch light has a sticker indicating bulb type. This bulb is non-dimmable.

I've been very happy with this purchase. The first set lasted over a year before having to replace. This is my second time buying these dusk to dawn bulbs. So far they are just as dependable as the first set. Hopefully it'll be another year and a half before I need to buy again, and I'll get the same ones.

The product comes on at sundown and goes off at sunrise, right? Yet the packaging suggests that it will last 22 years. The fine print says 22 years at 1 1/2 hours per day. Mine is on for an average of 12 hours per day (night) Simple arithmetic suggests that you should be promising a life of about 3 years.

did not know..that I did not have to replace old eye just put this bulb in. neighbor told me this..it did not need an electrician.. saved $70 it was easy

I love these bulbs! No more having to remember to turn my lights on at night and then remember to turn my lights OFF in the morning! Makes it so easy!

Dusk to dawn lights are a life savior! Whenever time changes and I return home, the lights are already on! No need to worry about flipping switches. No nee to worry about lights being on all day. Such a convenience!

Porch motion light not working the way it should the addition of this dusk to dawn lightbulb will light automatically if I don't get home before dark. I won't have to have present fixture replaced

First off, I'd like to say I thought I was buying more than one light bulb, not jus one. Second, I buy things like this in advance so I never run out. If you're going to sale these type of light bulbs, needs further information, count of 1, or more on the website.

Most outdoor lighting sockets have a bell shaped housing over them to keep rain away from getting into where the bulb screws into it. This cover sheilds the light from the sensor so the light stays on all the time. Great idea, but won't work in thus case.
