everything turned out pretty good it could use some more bacon bits though. and if you want to make your cheese sauce a little bit more creamy I would add some cheese and maybe keep a little pasta water for starch in there to thin it out. I mean you could tweak this to your liking.
I tried a few of these Artisan Crafted macaroni and cheese boxes, and I feel like this one is high up there. But not because of what you think. The pasta! The pasta is great. The shells cook great and pair well with this meal. I much prefer the shell pasta in this one compared to the other Artisan Crafted ones, I wish they included the shells more, they seem high quality. As for the taste, I don't have many complaints. There's not much bacon flavor, which I was actually hoping for. There aren't big pieces of bacon like the box suggests, just little specks, sometimes a slightly larger piece, which I honestly don't really care for, I just like the cheese and pasta portion of this.
I bought this for myself but the grandkids found it, and they were thrilled with it. Said we needed a lot more. They usually give me feedback on mac n cheese, ut this was HUGE HIT!
This is delicious Mac and Cheese and I'm so glad we discovered it. Even my very picky 6 year old loves it. Cooks perfectly in 11 minutes and the sauce is a foil pouch so easy to stir in. Weekly buy for us.
this is our favorite flavor but we enjoy the other too. this is a fancy mac and cheese. i add bacon bits and chicken and then top it with great value crunchy onions, omg! so fancy!
despite following the instructions a little bit of butter or margarine and milk is required for this product. ultimately it winds up tasting really good but you have to alter it and being that it's at a much higher price point then regular mac and cheese I'm only giving it four stars. if you brown .5 or 1 pound ground beef or ground pork with proper seasoning, you can turn this into a full meal for two or three easily.
I picked up the Loaded Bacon flavor boxed mac and cheese looking for something quick and comforting, and it delivered more than I expected from a box mix. **Flavor** The "loaded bacon" flavor actually tastes like loaded bacon, which isn't always a given with boxed mixes. There's a smoky, savory bacon flavor running through the cheese sauce, and it doesn't feel like an afterthought or a faint hint you have to squint to taste. It leans a little salty, which works well with the bacon profile, but might be a bit much for anyone sensitive to sodium. **Texture** The noodles cooked up well, not too soft or mushy, and held their shape nicely once mixed with the sauce. The cheese sauce itself was creamy and coated everything evenly, no clumping or weird separation like you sometimes get with the cheaper mixes. **Ease of Prep** Simple stovetop prep, nothing complicated. Boil, drain, stir in the packet and a bit of butter and milk, done in about 10 minutes. Great for a quick lunch or a lazy weeknight dinner when you don't want to think too hard about cooking. **Overall** For a boxed mac and cheese, this one punches above its weight. The bacon flavor is legit, the texture holds up, and it's fast enough for a busy day. Would buy again, especially for a quick comfort food fix.
I use this quality brand often but it can get thick because it doesn't call for milk but I feel it should to loosen the cheese sauce up which while mixing it. To each its own!! But I would recommend using it but I also had to add bacon because none was present in the dish.
I was excited to try this Mac %26 Cheese but I was disappointed. The overall flavor of the cheese sauce is actually pretty good but they don't give nearly enough of it. I don't care for the noodles the used either.
There's no bacon in it. like barely there might as well be none. They changed the noodles to have a bunch of ridges in it like how they ruined the other artisan mac and cheeses. The ridges on the noodles instantly evaporates the cheese so you can no longer taste any cheese and youre just eating noodles. Used to be amazing before they switched to cheese evaporating ridge noodles now theyre all terrible.
