I like the taste of Great Value chopped pecans. They never taste rancid. I've never found any bits of pecan shells in the packaging. I use Great Value chopped pecans in many recipes: chicken salad, banana nut pancakes, smoothies, and often times, I just grab a handful of Great Value chopped pecans for snacking between meals instead of sugary foods. I don't have a bag to send a picture of like Walmart often suggests with reviews for proof of purchase or just to show (you) what the packaging looks like. I always pour my chopped pecans and my Great Value chopped walnuts into a plastic food container. I discarded the bags. I like crispy foods. I like the crunchiness of pecans and walnuts. Oh, an aside: you might want to try Great Value slivered almonds in your rice dishes. If you're like me, you'll enjoy the contrast of the softer texture of Great Value Jasmine rice with the crunchiness of Great Value slivered almonds.
I love these pecans. I buy them a lot because for one thing, they taste wonderful. They are so fresh. I snack on them all of the time. I use them for baking, also. I just add them right in to whatever I am making. No need to chop them up or anything. I have never had an issue with any shell fragments or anything else. They are also a great value!
I buy these chopped pecans a lot! They are tasty and satisfying. Great in salad, cottage cheese, in yogurt, in my banana bread, as a snack and as added protein on top of my eggplant Parmesan. (try it! ) They are not chopped small, you need to buy baking pieces for that. These are a little bigger. Have a good taste and crunch.
The quality of the chopped pecans is just as tasty as the name brand product. Getting the Great Value product is reasonably priced. Therefore, making it easier to purchase the bigger bag. This product is a good source of getting your protein and good fats in your diet as well.
I purchased these pecans and a few other items for a German Chocolate cake. I tasted them before adding them to the frosting, and they tasted good %26 fresh. Normally, I would have purchased the Kroger brand when grocery shopping at $4.39/4 oz. However, I saved $0.57 by purchasing these. "Watch your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves."😊
good size pieces packed full of flavor delicious, great for baking good crunch good in trail mix good pocket snack good while vacationing good with pepper sprinkled
Good pecan taste. Medium oil content. I used these in a very special cookie recipe. And I don't want low quality pecans. Recipe costs about $30.00 to make. So I want all ingredients perfect. Cookies turned out perfect. I'll buy these again.
This bag is tiny for the price. Please compare with the price of larger bags before buying. It's basically a snack bag. Not enough to really bake with. Chopped nuts are usually on the cheaper end as well since they're making use of the broken and imperfect nuts. But not these. Walmart's price gauging is corporate greed, not a side effect of tariffs or the economy.
MISadvertised... I needed one full cup of pecans for my pie. On the picture on the Walmart app, the bag of pecans shows that it contains one cup in the bag. The product that I received said 3/4 cup in bag. I still needed one quarter cup of pecans for my pie. Not true advertisement.
I need 1 cup of chopped pecans. The picture of the package shows 1 cup on the front and indicates 4 oz. of product. The back says 1 oz equals 1/4 cup and that there are 4 servings in the package. Upon arrival (I get my orders delivered), the front of my package says 3/4 cup, yet all the other information is the same as pictured. The package definitely only has 3/4 cup in it. I haven’t weighed the nuts yet. Regardless, I’m short 1/4 cup for my recipe.
