I hope Hart finds a way to continue selling these after Walmart. They are lightweight but durable The latching is secure. It allows half boxes. The drawers glide smoothly and retained from opening accidentally by a locking bar that is easy to open. The only improvement would be a way to store the locking bar if you are not using it like Milwaukee uses.
The Hart Stack System Tool Boxes are awesome. So far, I have a soldering/desoldering kit, a socket/ratchet/20v cordless impact driver kit, and now I am a making a 20v cordless home construction/improvement kit. They work great for my needs.
I bought this item in June 2026, additional to the stack although today it is only one month later, ot is so far holding up very well, able to withstand every day rough use without any build quality issues.
As a DIY'r and someone who does some handyman work for others periodically, I felt this was the best compromise between cost and value. And it appears like it will be serviceable for me for many years to come. I'm very impressed with the quality and value of the Hart Pack Out system.
i love these storage drawers. i have 3 sets of them. The fold up and locking hinged arm on front keeps them accidentally opening when carrying it and when stored on a work bench, it tends to keep other's nosey hands out of it. not to mention it's excellent spacious and adjustable compartments for keeping stuff organized. Each division stays put so items don't mingle. if you like your stuff organized in nice, deep , private drawers that you can pick up and transport and nothing spills. no one snoops, then you need this.
While I like many of the new Hart Stack System Modular Boxes, I think they need to be at a lower price point. I own similar modular stacking systems from other brands, and they are priced lower than the Hart boxes, but they have a better quality. For example, without mentioning competing brand names, the black %26 yellow brand of stacking modular boxes, that I own many of, have much better components, like squeeze latches on drawers, smoother roller guides, and overall better construction, including the type of plastic. The warranty is also better with the black %26 yellow brand. After years of use, a roller guide started binding up, which was due to dust/debris, and not due to manufacturing error. The company sent me a replacement, free of charge, no questions asked. All of that brand's boxes are priced lower than the Hart boxes of the same type. If Hart reduced the price slightly, I would consider investing in more of their Stack System Modular Boxes. Until then, most of the money I spend will go to buying more of the black %26 yellow brand stacking modular boxes.
Not enough room for much of anything. Medium/small hammers plus some pliers and wrenches have to go sideways making the dividers of no use. I used 3 of the long dividers for screwdrivers and some shorter wrenches/pliers. On sale not even worth it. The whole system Just takes up space.
Missing pieces so make sure you check that everything is there. Walmart was of no help, Hart Website was of no help. Nothing major just the dividers that o in the drawers, but nobody is willing to make it right.
I like the size of the two drawer chest with dividers but not pleased with the tool box. These are reasonably priced and seem to be good quality. I wish they made a 3 drawer chest
Latches are loose, ordered two of them, and both don't lock to the stack. When I have it on the Hart wheeled stack, anything above falls off because the latch doesn't lock.
