If you haven't tried San Marzano style tomatoes for your spaghetti sauce because, like me, you wondered if they were worth the price, I want to let you know that YES, they are worth the price. Hunts puts out an excellent product in this variety, and they are a lot less expensive than the authentic brand, which has to be imported from Italy to be called true San Marzano tomatoes. I find they are sweet and much less acidic than other canned tomatoes. Now, I always have at least one can in my pantry.

I make spaghetti sauce. I bought Hunts San Marzano Style Tomatoes because they do not contain calcium chloride. Makes a much nicer spaghetti sauce. Hope Walmart keeps this in stock.

I use these all the times. It always has a few undesirable tomato skins in it but this last can had almost a 1/4 c of skins. The taste was still good.

The cans were very dented.

I don't like deceptive labeling. I was looking for San Marzano tomatoes and I bought these but these are just “San Marzano Style” but the label is deceptive because they want you to make the mistake I did. Can't support that

While they are more expensive, save your money and buy the Cento whole peeled Italian tomatoes. The Hunts lack flavor and are mostly water. Will not ever buy these again, incredibly disappointed and upset with the end result of my dinner.

These were nothing like whole peeled tomatoes should be. they were cooked down to mush with a couple of button ends on them and most of the skins were in the can. these wouldn't even make a good diced tomato... mush! Never again.

these were the worst "whole peeled" tomatoes. lots of skin, tiny little tomatoes with al ton of white stuff. the rest is just thin flavorless red liquid.

If you want San marzano tomatoes do not buy hunts, they are all mushed and don't even look like whole tomatoes.
