This is one of those small things that actually makes a difference. Easy to hold, gives you good control, and shapes nails way better than the cheap ones I have tried before. Not rough, not flimsy, just works. I noticed right away my nails looked cleaner and more even. Simple, but worth it.
I lost my plan and I need to know and this one came in at the right time. I love it is easy to use and it's easy to find too. I love it.
sometimes metal nail files are too smooth, this was textured enough to get the job done and will allow wear and tare without losing its effectiveness
Same grit on both sides and VERY rough. I'd rather use sandpaper. Plus the handle was loose so it wiggled when I used it.
Both sides of this nail file are very rough. I'm used to files where one side is less gritty. This just tears up my nails.
These Japonesque nail files are horrible! The grit is extremely rough and doesn't work on fingernails. The entire file is so flimsy that it bends with the slightest resistance. They are definitely not worth the purchase because they're completely unusable.
This is extremely cheap and flimsy. The “metal” is so thin that it bent inside the packaging before I even took it out. Instead of having a smooth, etched surface like a normal file, it has a gritty coating glued onto it. The worst part is the edges. Because it's so thin and textured all the way around, trying to shorten a nail literally slices your skin. The edges aren't polished at all, so the grit turns it into a tiny cheese grater for your fingers. Completely unsafe and poorly made. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone—unless you're filing nails and skin, which I assume is not the goal.
I liked the old ones that were thicker in width and sturdier. I can't work with this it's trash. I'm going to have to go back to the board ones which I also don't like however they're better than these. Can't believe anyone would positively review these! Bought reviews for sure!
Nail file is very thin and flimsy. Bows out when filing nails, feels like it will bend. Grit is adequate. File is so thin that long edges are thin enough to cut delicate fingertip skin at top of nail. I wish I'd returned it.
These are too coarse for natural nails. They would be great for acrylics. It is getting nigh impossible to find the old fashioned, two sided fine/medium grit nail files.
