As a child, I LOVED this cereal!! It was always a thrill to have it. I don't know if the cereal has changed, or if it's me. This was NOT a thrill to eat like it was when I was a child. It wasn't necessarily the flavor of the cereal, but more the texture. It was like chewing on small bits of Styrofoam. That, or the plain "puffed wheat" generic bag of cereal from the 70s. I was truly disappointed!! I have to say that I don't see me purchasing it again. Children might like it....... But as a child from the 70s it was NOWHERE near as good as I remembered; Sadly.

I'm old enough to remember when this was called Sugar Smacks,.. until sugar became a bad word. They are NOT the same as back then. I have been ordering the bagged MaltOMeal brand of the same type of cereal for years. It is much tastier, and retains its crunch longer in milk. It also is less expensive. For some reason, even though I specifically designate another substitution for my preferred cereal, WalMart has insisted upon sending the Kelloggs product when the bagged cereal is unavailable. If I miss the text about substitutions, I'm outta luck. Then it's up to me to return? I have it delivered for a reason. I designate specific subs for a reason. This has nothing to do with Kelloggs, obviously, but it's a note to others.

They still had the same taste but, the cereal was definitely hard to chew and seemed as if it was stale. I checked the expiration date and it doesn't expire until 2023. I definitely will not waste my money again.

They are stale. STALE!!! We waited over a month for our favorite cereal and it was stale!! Two boxes at that! The Expiration date is dated a year away but maybe it’s a bad batch mixed with old cereal. We eat a lot of cereals. I ordered six boxes on this order alone and this was our only problem. Very disappointed. Especially now while on Quarantined when we cannot just hop over to store and refund or exchange

it was stale from the first bowl after opening the box the same day it was delivered...i was so disappointed

If you search it up, you'll see everyone is complaining this cereal now tastes stale/soggy, even though not expired.

Love these usually but this box were really old,I don't mean the date but the product was waaay old and soft. So that cut me out of buying cereal at Walmart in the future. T/Y

I used to love this cereal. Got it for my kids and it was completely stale.

Stale cereal in the box unexpired box not damaged but cereal is colorless and stale! Colorless too.

Absolutely horrible.... The entire box was stale and I don’t drive so I couldn’t return it. Went in the trash!
