(2 pack) La Victoria Traditional Red Enchilada Liquid Sauce Mild, 28 oz

I grew up eating Southern California style Mexican food and this sauce is as good as those restaurants I ate at. It's got a ton of flavor, just a smidge of spice and great texture. I make enchiladas once a week and use this sauce. Absolutely delicious

Looking for that authentic old fashion great none spicy taste for your elders, this is the one. My mother simple loved it. Was her favorite.

the goal of any commercial kitchen should be food that closely simulates homemade or at least strive for good restaurant quality. right? a long time ago las palmas had the kine chile sauce. then a corp bought them and their recipe degenerated into boiled chili-powder. yuk! then there was la victoria. up to 2 years ago their recipe still contained pasilla/california chile pods, fresh garlic and cilantro. unfortunately corp greed boiled their recipe down to just chile puree and extracts. even so, the replacement is still arms/legs/and rump over anything else on the shelf, any brand, as far as quality and resemblance to the genuine article. homies never put tomato products in their sauce (only peppers), just like italians would never put tomatoes in heir cacciatore. get it? our friend the tomato has plenty of things to do already.

A bit boring so I add some Dona Marias Mole Poblano to it for my enchiladas and it id great. Stains plastic cook/prepware so use glass bowls when prepping.

I'm not saying the sauce in the can is bad, but the can was badly damaged and should have never been delivered.

Picked up order today and returned home only to find that this can of sauce has a major dent on the edge of the can. Why would the employee give someone a can that is dented this bad? I'm not going to use it and need to return it. That will be a 52 mile trip to return it. Thanks Walmart!

Maybe I got a bad batch, but this sauce had way too much vinegar. I had to add sugar to cut the acid. I will not buy again.
