My hair is a tad damp when I take it off, so not sure if that qualifies for waterproof. But it has kept the chlorine smell out of my hair and the tangles out. Without the cap, my hair turns into straw after my swim, so this has been a lifesaver. It's easy to put on, and it covers my ears, but it tends to slip up a little, and my ears get a bit wet. Overall I love it.

VERY NICE. I HAVE A LARGE HEAD AND I ORDERED SIZE LARGE AND THE FIT IS PERFECT. THE MATERIAL IS A SMOOTH FIRM SILICONE AND THEY FIT SNUGGLY. I HAVEN'T TRIED THEM IN WATER YET BUT THE FIT AND MATERIAL IS VERY GOOD.

I did not like the fit of this cap. I do not have a large head and I felt that it was very very tight. I would not recommend this bathing cap.
