(2 pack) Mainstays 2' x 6' Runner Clear Vinyl Carpet Protector

I purchased a couple of cat houses and unfortunately from Wayfair the wood was super thin to add more protection I use these carpet runners to put around and on top of the cat houses. It was easy to apply. Had some extra going to use it as a slide down the steps for snow this winter.

A good solution to the problem of keeping light colored area rugs looking good. After struggling with drab looking rugs, it finally occurred to me that there are ways to protect them from dirt, spills and grime. I use these protective runners for everyday and when having guests, remove them. Such a simple solution. Wish I'd thought of it sooner.

Great value for money. It is light weight but it still.covers the carpet. The surface is slippery so walking on it in socks might be a safety hazard.

The product serves its purpose well. My major negative comment is that it has an intense, unpleasant, harsh chemical odor to it that has still not dissipated after almost two weeks of use. It is slowly going away, but initially it was so strong it gave me a headache. Plan to air it out before use away from anyone sensitive to odors if you purchase it.

However I did not buy for its intended use. I needed it for outside. There is a cat outside and its spraying my screen porch to mark its territory. Horrible. The smell is so bad! Drives my cats crazy (indoor only). To solve the problem passively, buy a cheap plastic runner. Put it with the picky bottom side…up…on the floor of the deck/porch entrances. No cats, raccoons, squirrels, etc will walk on it. I have no children here so didn't need to worry about that. This laid nice on the deck, but I put a screw at each corner and it was very very easy to cut.

THIS ITEM WAS PURCHASED TO COVER A SECOND FLOOR BALCONY THAT HAS A PLANK FLOOR WITH SMALL SPACES BETWEEN PLANKS. BIRD SEED (FROM MY NEW FEEDER) WAS FALLING THROUGH AND MAKING A PROBLEM FOR NEIGHBOR BELOW. TIME WILL TELL IF THIS WILL HOLD UP FOR AN UNUSUAL USE. DELIVERY WAS EXCELLENT - ORDERED IN THE MORNING AND DELIVERED THE SAME EVENIING. (PACKAGE OF 3 RUNNERS - 72 SQ FT.)

Would recommend with some hesitancy. The plastic was thinner than I would have hoped. Although advertised to run over carpet, my particular carpet had pile that was too long to work well with this product. Slippage was certain and I feared tripping and falling.

They are not bad. I just thought it was crytal clear like the photo shown on website. I ordered two online, and they were not the same clear. One was cloudy and the other was cloudy blue. If you have a pretty walkway rug, it will over cover the design if you want the sign to show. It is nice a thick so it will last. I believe it can work well on a patio or the garage. I never opened it; I returned it.

Horrible on bare feet , it's like stepping on a rug with nails ! I rather was bare feet on dirt then use this over the dirt The first picture is very deceiving, I should have look at the rest of the pictures and the 1 star reviews , they're right , for the price you paid , these are no where close to that quality . I was expecting smooth thick clear vinyl, instead I got cheap thin plastic that might as well be a cacti .

Was hoping for something a little more than the lousy junk. Horrible. Wouldn't stick to carpet. That's what I get for $9. My bad. Never again. Thing can blow away on a windy day. Garbage
