These Cocoa Dyno Bites are a staple in our house. They taste super similar to the name brand version for a much better price. The chocolate flavor is really good and they stay crunchy in milk longer than expected. The resealable bag is also a huge plus for keeping them fresh. Definitely worth buying again!
I eat this cereal all the time and love it. The chocolate Dyno Bytes, the frosted shreaded wheat, and the Golden Puffs are about the only cereals that still taste good after all the sugar and coloring was stripped from most of the other cereals that I used to eat. I like to eat my cereal dry, more as a snack than anything else and I want it sweet. I used to love Cocoa Roos, Oreo Cookie, and the Apple Zings, but they all taste awful without the sugar coatings. I wish our government would just stay out of our food choices and let us choose what we want to eat. It is up to the parents if they want to restrict sugar and dyes from their kids diet. I am 70 years old, and I dont need the government telling me that sugar and dyes are bad. I have lived this long and I am not dead or even sick from the foods I have been eating for years. I also drink a 2 liter bottle of diet cola every day and the artificial sweeteners havn't kille me yet or even made me sick and I have been drinking diet soda for the last 50 years. However, this is a case where I prefer the artificial sweetener over real sugar. It just l tastes better to me. At my age, I just want to eat the foods that I like and I like sugar coated cereal. I tend to pour a bowl of cereal when I crave something sweet. I could also fill up with cake, cookies, or candy but I think cereal is a better alternative to snack on since these other things are pretty much all sugar and no nutritional value. Please don't let them strip anymore of the ingredients from your cereals. Other than the 3 I listed, the rest taste like crap without the sugar coating. Cocoa Roos seem to have had the biggest change, first the white sugar coating was removed and replaced with an thin sugar glaze, now all the sugar glaze is gone completely and some of the cocoa must have been eliminated too because it doesn't even taste like chocolate any more. It used to be a great cereal and now it is awful. Whether this was government interferance or just trying to cut costs, I think you ruined a great cereal and I will never buy it again. So far Dyno Bites have not changed, at least not from what I can tell. They still taste like chocolate and they are still sweet. I go through 3 of the 61 oz bags every month,I love but if you change them like you did the Cocoa Roos, it will be the last time I eat them.
Malt-O-Meal Cocoa Dyno Bites are basically tiny chocolate superheroes in cereal form. The crunch is epic, the cocoa flavor is perfectly chocolaty without being scary, and the bag is huge enough to survive a small army of cereal-loving kids (or just one very hungry parent… no judgment). We tried sprinkling a few strawberries on top, and suddenly breakfast became a gourmet dessert disguised as a morning meal. Bonus points: pair it with Fluff Marshmallow Cereal Treats on the side, and you’ve basically created a chocolatey, marshmallowy, crunchy heaven. Your kids (and your inner child) will demand a standing ovation. Gluten-free, delicious, and ridiculously fun — this cereal turns every bowl into a snack, a dessert, and a reason to smile all at once. Crunch, cocoa, and chaos — all in one bag.
I buy this for my kids you can get it in a large family size bag which works for my large family I don't see much of a difference between this and the name brand it's cheaper which is better when you're on a budget it's got a nice cocoa flavor and nice crunch it does go stale unless you keep it completely sealed up which it does come in it's own refillable Ziploc bag which is nice
We actually prefer the malt-o-meal brand o ed the other brand. We don't purchase these a lot, they're a treat that my whole family enjoys from time to time. We prefer them for a midday snack rather than breakfast, especially when the summer heats up, it just gets too hot to eat anything cooked. The texture is great, they don't get soggy fast, the flavor is really good, and the chocolate milk after the cereal is eaten is just an added bonus. :)
Although, as I realize the health aspects of this product are questionable, I still have those urges and cravings from time to time for something sweet and crunchy, so this works well for me on an occasional basis. The flavor is good, does not taste chemically like some other off brands do. Pairs well with bananas.
This are the best Gluten Free chocolate cereals that I found in the market. They tasted as regular cereals. The ingredients are more natural than other brands in the markets. Also, as Gluten Free products are pretty expensive you get double for the price you paid for just one single box of another brand. A must
This cereal is another budget-friendly staple in our house! The Malt-O-Meal Cocoa Dyno Bites are a big favorite with my kids—they taste just like the name-brand version but at a much better price, which makes a huge difference for a larger family. They’re nice and crunchy, full of chocolatey flavor, and the resealable bag keeps everything fresh way longer than a regular box. I also love that they’re gluten free, so it’s something everyone can enjoy without worry. We go through this pretty fast because it’s just that good, but for the size and price, you really can’t beat it. Perfect for breakfast or even a sweet little snack.
The wife and I love these things. It's our favorite cereal. It tastes just like the expensive alternative at half the price. We try to always buy Malt-O-Meal name brand cereal in the bag. It might be considered a breakfast cereal, but I have a messed up sleep cycle, so there is no telling when I might get the urge to eat a bowl of it.
I taste zero cocoa flavor. It's just sugar flakes with brown colored sugar shell that you know will be actively decaying your pearls. I couldn't believe it. I rarely ever throw away most of a bag of anything in the garbage before trying to make it into something else… but these landed in the garbage after one bowl. Don't bother. Get a small box of the real stuff if you want cocoa flavor.
