(2 pack) Marias Cajeta 12/195g

Perfect if you have a craving for something sweet and they come individually wrapped which I love. The sweetness of cajeta is good. The cookie isn't that crispy but overall it's a good snack.

I like the individual wrappers, price, and taste. I like the ones that are dipped in chocolate but they werent available.

the cookies were a little moist not crunchi but the taste was good.

the texture of the crackers is soft. mariaa crackers are supposed to be crisp. Maybe being sandwiched with cajeta made the cracker go soft, but it tasted like stale crackers with cajeta.

In my opinion the cajeta filling in these Marias is not real cajeta. It has no flavor. You're better off buying the plain Maria's and good quality cajeta and making your own Maria/cajeta cookies.

My parents moved to Mexico in the 50's, where I was born. "Galletas Marias" are an inexpensive household staple and have been around for 150 years. A very simple, thin and slightly sweet cookie that quickly lures you in. "Cajeta" has been around since the 16th century, and is made with goat's milk. It is caramel-like with a deep, delicious flavor. I know both quite well, and these are a true disappointment. I don't think their caramel is actually cajeta. My tip, buy your own "Marias" and a bottle of real Cajeta (Coronado brand is tops).
