This is a great for homemade hush puppies, seasoned add water, onions. I deep fried mine, some people add an adult beverage also to the mix it gives an extra seasoned flavor, their handy when you want a snack or with fish , soup beans, snacks

I honestly didn't think I would like it. I bought the frozen ones before, and it had a freezer taste. Not only that, but I will buy this from now on, it was easy to prepare, keep an eye out on the amount of liquid you use, it's better to go slowly and check the texture. Once you make it too watery, you won't be able to add more, and if you try flour you will alter the taste. It fried beautifully, and you can taste the onion, which I think all hush puppies should have lol.

it's hard to beat Martha White or Betty Crocker. this stuff is actually quite great I love these things

I love this hush puppy mix!!! Tastes exactly the way i want my hush puppies to taste and its in 1 envelope already perfect to mix and fry!!! Great price too! Makes my fish fry go quicker and easier.

This is a great mix! I usually add a few diced onions, jalapeños %26 maybe shredded cheese but really not necessary. They're good just mixed %26 air or deep fried.

i use these to make fried cornbread, add a punch of salt, tsp. sugar, milk as the calls for and water to thin it down let set for abut 5 minutes, put shortening in an iron skillet. Dip out by spoonful. fry till edges are light brown and flip.

I wanted to try these to see what I would get. I was hoping for hush puppies that would be the same quality as the muffins that Martha White makes. I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed in the end result. First off, the making of these hush puppies was simple enough - liquid and the mix. It was in the frying in the oil where things went south. First, the oil wasn't hot enough so the first few didn't cook thoroughly. Then the oil was too hot and they burned which made them very hard to eat. A few of them were edible and the taste was okay, it was just cooking them in the oil that messed things all up. I know, I should have used a thermometer. I won't do these again. Definitely a one time thing.

My first time using this mix, i added chopped onion and milk instead of water, i wish i had tried buttermilk like another person suggested because these were dry and thats hard to say about fried food. Also like another person said i couldn't taste the oinion , it literally says onion flavor on the package so im glad i added chopped onion. I used a small cookie scoop to drop them into hot oil, they fried up beautifully, i did let the batter sit about 5 min. before frying. They were crispy on the outside which i loved but they were dry on the inside. Think I'll try another brand or make my own next time
